Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Tending to foot issue
McCaffrey didn't practice Wednesday due to a foot injury, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.
McCaffrey kicked off last week with a similar listing, only a knee issue was to blame for the absence on that occasion. On a positive note, coach Ron Rivera told Reed that the Panthers are being cautious with McCaffrey and "giving him a breather" Wednesday. Considering McCaffrey is averaging 25.9 touches per game, that approach is warranted, but fantasy managers will want to circle back and make sure the health concern doesn't linger.

Khari Blasingame FB | PHI
Titans' Khari Blasingame: Heads to Tennessee
The Titans signed Blasingame to the active roster Wednesday, Paul Kuharsky of 104.5 The Zone Nashville reports.
Blasingame was toiling on the Vikings' practice squad, and the Titans came knocking after waiving Rod Smith on Tuesday. The undrafted rookie will return to his college town, as he rushed for 957 yards and 15 touchdowns for Vanderbilt over three seasons. The 23-year-old could make his NFL debut as the top fullback Nov. 24 against the Jaguars.

Matt Breida RB | SF
49ers' Matt Breida: May be out 1-to-2 weeks
Breida is expected to sit out 1-to-2 weeks after aggravating a low-ankle sprain during Monday's loss to the Seahawks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Breida is awaiting the results of a second opinion but appears to be trending toward an absence Sunday against the Cardinals. Having said that, he gutted out multiple injuries last season en route to recording more than 1,000 yards from scrimmage in 14 games, so it wouldn't be shocking if he eventually gets the all-clear from the 49ers' medical staff. Breida's status should be watched closely as the week goes on to see if he's able to do just that.

James Conner RB | ARI
Steelers' James Conner: Cleared to play Thursday
Conner (shoulder) doesn't carry an injury designation into Thursday's game against the Browns.
Conner is thus slated to see his first game action since Week 8 and should head the Steelers' ground game this weekend. Meanwhile, Jaylen Samuels is in line to work in a complementary pass-catching role, leaving Trey Edmunds and/or Tony Brooks-James as the remaining depth options in the team's backfield.

Benny Snell RB | DET
Steelers' Benny Snell: Won't play Thursday
Snell (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Browns, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Snell will miss a third consecutive game while he recovers from the procedure he required in late October to trim the meniscus on his knee. With James Conner and Jaylen Samuels both healthy, the rookie fourth-round pick appears set for the third-string role once he's fully recovered. Snell will target a return to the field Week 12 against Cincinnati.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Not practicing Wednesday
McCaffery isn't participating in Wednesday's practice, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
McCaffery was held out of last Wednesday's practice while tending to a knee issue, but he managed to ramp up his reps throughout the week and handle his usual workload during Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Packers. The 23-year-old's status will once again bear monitoring if he's listed with an injury designation on Wednesday's practice report, though there isn't yet any reason to worry about his availability for Week 11. He's on tap for a favorable matchup at home against the Falcons.

Saquon Barkley RB | PHI
Giants' Saquon Barkley: Plans on maintaining big workload
Barkley (shoulder) has no interest in being rested down the stretch of this season, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports. "The mindset of sitting me out and resting me for the rest of the season is beyond me," Barkley said. "I do not agree with it. It won't happen."
Barkley heads into a Week 11 bye nursing a minor shoulder injury, and he may also be dealing with some impact from the high-ankle sprain he suffered in September. However, he said health hasn't been a factor in his recent struggles on the ground, noting that he's still been able to make defenders miss when he's found some open space. With his shoulder expected to be fine, Barkley likely will handle his usual workload when the Giants return to action Week 12 in Chicago. The idea of scaling back his touches at the very end of the season isn't crazy, but the Giants didn't take that approach when they dropped out of contention last season, as the running back averaging 18 carries and four catches per game in five December appearances, including an 83 percent snap share and 142 scrimmage yards Week 17.

Dwayne Washington RB | DEN
Saints' Dwayne Washington: Doesn't record a touch
Washington did not garner an offensive snap during Sunday's 26-9 loss to Atlanta.
Between Alvin Kamara's return and the Saints playing from behind, Washington was relegated to special-teams duty after earning four total touches during Kamara's two-game absence. Washington saw the field for just seven offensive snaps while Kamara was out and hasn't played on offense in any other game this season. Expect that to continue Sunday against Tampa Bay's stout run defense, which is surrendering just 3.5 yards per carry, good for third best in the league.

Myles Gaskin RB | SEA
Dolphins' Myles Gaskin: Gains no yardage in win
Gaskin caught his only target for no yards in Sunday's 16-12 win over the Colts.
Gaskin got bumped up the depth chart in the absence of Mark Walton (suspension) and recorded the first touch of his career. There may not be too many more this season, even without Walton. If Sunday is any indication, Kalen Ballage will enjoy the lion's share of touches in Walton's absence while Patrick Laird fills in behind. That leaves a limited role for Gaskin over the next three games. Next up is a Buffalo defense that dominates against the pass, but ranks 20th in the league at 4.5 yards per carry allowed.
-
Kenjon Barner RB | TB
Falcons' Kenjon Barner: Gains 12 rushing yards in win
Barner gained 12 yards on his only carry during Sunday's 26-9 win over the Saints. He added 33 yards on a pair of punt returns.
Barner now has a carry in back-to-back games after just one touch, a four-yard catch in Week 3, prior to that this season. The former Oregon Duck has been a solid returner for a disappointing Falcons squad, ranking sixth in the league by averaging 25.0 yards per kickoff and 13th in the league with 7.9 yards per punt return, but he hasn't done much outside of special teams. Sunday brings a matchup against a struggling Carolina run defense surrendering 5.2 yards per carry -- 31st in the league -- and with Devonta Freeman (foot) likely to be sidelined, Barner could be headed for his largest offensive workload of the year.
