Zack Moss RB | CIN
Bills' Zack Moss: Ruled out Week 3
Coach Sean McDermott said Moss (toe) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
The rookie third-rounder was unable to practice Wednesday and Thursday, and it appears his outlook hasn't improved much entering Friday's session. Moss carried 17 times for 48 yards and caught three passes for 16 yards and one touchdown in the first two games of the season, but he won't be available for Week 3. Devin Singletary played just under 60 percent of the offensive snaps the past two weeks but is now likely to have a larger snap share versus the Rams.

Myles Gaskin RB | SEA
Dolphins' Myles Gaskin: Lead-back duties in win
Gaskin rushed 22 times for 66 yards and brought in all five targets for 29 yards in the Dolphins' 31-13 win over the Jaguars on Thursday.
Through the Dolphins' first two games, the backfield wealth was essentially spread amongst Gaskin, Matt Breida and Jordan Howard, with no clear-cut lead back. That clearly changed for at least one game Thursday, as Gaskin outpaced his aforementioned teammates by 19 carries each and also co-led the team in both receptions and targets. The second-year back wasn't anywhere near as efficient on the ground as during the first two games of the season, when he averaged 5.4 yards on his 16 rushes. However, the boost in volume on the ground was certainly a welcome sight for Gaskin's fantasy managers, who now have reason to hope the Washington product could be headed for a true workhorse role moving forward that also includes a solid pass-catching component. Gaskin will look to make good on that potential in a Week 4 home date against the Seahawks on Sunday, Oct. 4.

James Robinson RB | NO
Jaguars' James Robinson: Top offensive weapon in loss
Robinson rushed 11 times for 46 yards and two touchdowns and brought in all six targets for 83 yards in the Jaguars' 31-13 loss to the Dolphins on Thursday.
Even in a surprisingly lopsided loss, Robinson found a way to stand out yet again. Not only did the undrafted rookie free agent account for both of the Jaguars' scores, he also checked in tops on the team in receptions and receiving yardage. While game script prevented the Illinois State product from seeing the 16-carry workload he enjoyed in the first two games, he's now upped his reception total over that of the previous contest in two straight contests. Given his robust usage and the Bengals' questionable run defense, Robinson's fantasy prospects are favorable for a Week 4 road battle against Cincinnati on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Cam Akers RB | SEA
Rams' Cam Akers: Officially doesn't practice Thursday
Akers (ribs) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Akers was diagnosed with separated rib cartilage in the aftermath of this past Sunday's victory at Philadelphia. The fact he didn't play after taking the Rams' first three carries of the game should have been an indicator that the injury was serious, and coach Sean McVay confirmed as much Thursday when he said Akers "isn't coming along as quickly as anticipated," per Thiry. Elsewhere in the backfield, Malcolm Brown managed a full practice Thursday, despite a broken pinky finger, and Darrell Henderson is the sole healthy running back. Akers' status may receive some additional clarity Friday when the team releases its final Week 3 injury report.
-
Mike Boone RB | MIA
Vikings' Mike Boone: Upgraded Thursday
Boone (concussion) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice.
After failing to practice Wednesday, Boone was able to participate in some capacity just a day later, casting some optimism for his Week 3 availability. Boone is still in the league's concussion protocol, so he'll have to be cleared to make an appearance Sunday. His Friday practice session should grant more of a clear picture about his chances for Sunday's game against Tennessee.

Corey Clement RB | ARI
Eagles' Corey Clement: Resumes practicing in full
Clement (illness) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
Clement was held out of Wednesday's practice entirely due to an illness, but he's already managed to return in full capacity. He'll suit up as Philadelphia's third running back, behind Miles Sanders and Boston Scott, versus the Bengals on Sunday.
-
Darrel Williams RB | NO
Chiefs' Darrel Williams: Limited activity Thursday
Williams (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
With the Chiefs playing in Baltimore on Monday this week, Williams had the benefit of an extra day off before Kansas City held its first practice following Sunday's overtime win against the Chargers. The added rest apparently wasn't enough for Williams to completely shake the injury he sustained Week 2, but the fact that he was on the field in any fashion Thursday is an encouraging sign. Assuming he's cleared to play against the Ravens, Williams should serve as the top understudy to starting running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

Cam Akers RB | SEA
Rams' Cam Akers: Not in line to practice Thursday
Akers (ribs) isn't slated to practice Thursday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Akers emerged from the Rams' Week 2 win at Philadelphia with separated rib cartilage, which is threatening to hold him out of the first two sessions of this week. Coach Sean McVay even told Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com on Thursday that Akers "isn't coming along as quickly as anticipated" in his recovery. Akers still has chances to step on the practice field before week's end, but if he's absent or limited Sunday in Buffalo, the Rams will turn to some combination of Malcolm Brown (finger) and Darrell Henderson out of the backfield.

Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Misses another practice
Jacobs (hip) didn't practice Thursday.
With back-to-back absences to start the practice week, what Jacobs does Friday will be pivotal with regard to his status for Sunday's game against the Patriots. It's still possible that his reps simply are being managed, but if Jacobs ends up out or limited at all this weekend, Jalen Richard and Devontae Booker are next up for the Raiders' backfield touches.
