  • Zack Moss RB | CIN

Bills' Zack Moss: Coach explains lack of run

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Wednesday that Moss' limited use in Monday's win over the 49ers was mainly the result of his costly fumble early in the contest, Jourdon LaBarber of the Bills' official site reports. "The reason you didn't see [Moss] is because we can't put the ball on the turf like that and expect to win games," McDermott said.

Moss wasn't benched the entire game and ended up seeing further action in the fourth quarter, but he ended up with three carries for nine yards and one catch for five yards across his 11 snaps. McDermott isn't the type to permanently punish a promising player, so Moss should get more opportunities in the weeks to come, especially after he wasn't even credited with a lost fumble on the play in question (the turnover was attributed to quarterback Josh Allen.) Still, Moss had a chance to wrest the starting job from a previously struggling Devin Singletary, but the latter seems to be firmly back atop the depth chart after a couple of strong games.

  • AJ Dillon RB | CAR

Packers' AJ Dillon: Spotted at Wednesday's practice

Dillon (illness) participated in Wednesday's practice, indicating he could be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list soon, John Doran of Fox 11 News Green Bay reports.

Dillon has been away from the Packers' facility since testing positive for COVID-19 on Nov. 2. His presence at practice signals that he's since tested negative for the virus twice within 24 hours and is no longer experiencing symptoms. The rookie second-rounder is thus eligible to be activated, but the Packers may want Dillon to regain some conditioning before adding him to the 53-man roster. Once he's deemed ready to go, Dillon will slot in as the No. 3 running back behind Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams.

  • Travis Homer RB | PIT

Seahawks' Travis Homer: No practice Wednesday

Homer (knee) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

There's no end in sight to Homer's health concerns, which so far have forced three consecutive absences. On a positive note, he's no longer being listed with wrist and thumb issues on Wednesday's report, leaving him with just the knee concern to tend to this week. Still, the rest of the backfield is far healthier, so the Seahawks can stand to wait it out with Homer until he's 100 percent. For the time being, the backfield will be the domain of Chris Carson (foot), with Carlos Hyde (toe) and DeeJay Dallas handling any reps that linger.

  • Joshua Kelley RB | TEN

Chargers' Joshua Kelley: Unable to practice Wednesday

Kelley (foot) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice.

Kelley was forced out of Sunday's loss to the Patriots with what was initially termed as an ankle issue, but the team clarified the nature of his injury with the release of its first Week 14 practice report. The rookie's absence from practice to start the week is a discouraging sign ahead of Sunday's game versus the Falcons, but he'll have two more opportunities to increase his on-field work. Troymaine Pope (neck) -- who was also limited Wednesday -- would be next in line to serve as Los Angeles' No. 3 back if Kelley is inactive.

  • J.J. Taylor RB | HOU

Patriots' J.J. Taylor: Questionable for TNF

Taylor (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Rams.

Taylor has yet to see action in a game since Week 3 against the Raiders, dealing with illness and injuries over that span. Taylor was a limited participant at practice all week and appears to be trending toward a true game-time decision. Even if he is healthy enough to suit up Sunday, it's likely he won't impact the game from a fantasy perspective.

  • Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Practices in full

Edwards-Helaire (illness) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Edwards-Helaire still was listed with the illness on Wednesday's injury report, but the stomach ailment didn't affect his reps at all. The rookie running back was active for last Sunday's win over the Broncos, but only in an emergency capacity, leading to him ending the game without a single snap. Edwards-Helaire appears on track to play in Miami this weekend, but since head coach Andy Reid mentioned that Edwards-Helaire lost some weight while battling the illness, it's possible the Chiefs manage his reps more carefully than usual.

  • Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Listed with calf issue

Elliott was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report with a calf injury, Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official site reports.

Elliott previously played through a hamstring injury this season, so another lower-body issue doesn't seem like a huge concern, especially considering he would have got in some work if the Cowboys held a formal practice Wednesday. He'll look to prove the health of his calf during the team's two remaining sessions this week before Dallas matches up with Cincinnati on Sunday.

  • Cam Akers RB | SEA

Rams' Cam Akers: Ready for Thursday's game

Akers (shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday and doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game against the Patriots, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.

Akers progressed from a non-participant Monday to limited activity Tuesday before he was cleared for the Rams' Week 14 contest. With his status not in question, he'll look to continue his recent success from the last two outings, in which he totaled 31 touches for 178 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns. During that same stretch, Darrell Henderson had 15 touches for 93 total yards and one score, while Malcolm Brown was contained to 44 total yards on nine touches.

  • Myles Gaskin RB | SEA

Dolphins' Myles Gaskin: Limited in practice

Gaskin (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.

Gaskin handled a workhorse role (23 touches) in his return from a four-game absence Sunday against the Bengals, so the Dolphins may just be capping his reps for maintenance purposes to begin Week 14. The fact that all of Salvon Ahmed (shoulder), DeAndre Washington (hamstring) and Matt Breida (illness) were either limited or non-participants in Wednesday's practice could also influence Miami to take a cautious approach with regard to Gaskins' health. The second-year back will look to ramp up his activity as this weekend's matchup against the Chiefs approaches.

  • Jaguars' James Robinson: Tending to knee issue

Robinson was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury, Terry McCormick of TItanInsider.com reports.

Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone suggested prior to the team's first Week 14 practice that Robinson would be limited, but it wasn't until the release of the official injury report that a reason behind the rookie's restrictions became known. Despite the knee injury, Marrone said that Robinson will be "full go" for Sunday's game against Tennessee, suggesting that the running back may just have been getting some extra maintenance to begin the week.
