Boston Scott RB | PIT
Eagles' Boston Scott: Likely to lead Week 7 RB committee
Coach Doug Pederson said that the Eagles would likely use a running-back-by-committee Thursday against the Giants if starter Miles Sanders (knee) is unavailable, with Scott presumably stepping in as the lead option, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
Sanders exited Sunday's loss to the Ravens with a knee injury, and while the Eagles are still waiting on the results of an MRI before confirming his status for Thursday's divisional game, Chris Mortensen of ESPN relays that the 23-year-old is expected to be sidelined for 1-to-2 weeks. After Sanders left the Week 6 contest following his 74-yard run midway through the third quarter, Scott out-touched the Eagles' other active running back, Corey Clement, by a 5-0 margin, though Clement had a reception nullified by a penalty. With that in mind, Scott profiles as the top candidate to absorb the bulk of Sanders' work, likely leaving Scott and Jason Huntley to handle smaller supporting roles as part of a committee.

Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Bengals' Joe Mixon: Awaiting injury information
Coach Zac Taylor said that he expects to receive more information about Mixon's foot injury Monday or Tuesday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Taylor confirmed that Mixon was available at the end of Sunday's loss to the Colts, and that Giovani Bernard finished the game solely due to being a better fit for the two-minute offense. That would seem to bode well for Mixon's chances of suiting up without issue for Week 7's divisional matchup against the Browns, and the Bengals may have official confirmation of the severity of his injury before Wednesday's practice report is issued.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Broncos' Melvin Gordon: Expected back Week 7
Coach Vic Fangio said Monday that he expects Gordon (illness) to resume practicing ahead of Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Gordon missed the Week 6 win over the Patriots while dealing with strep throat, and he also was cited late last Tuesday on DUI and speeding charges. However, Fangio's comments that the Broncos will "go back to the plan we had for the opener" if Gordon resumes practicing seems to indicate that the veteran would be in line to play as long as he's healthy. It may also hint that Gordon would stand to split reps fairly evenly with Phillip Lindsay, just as Denver did out of the gate Week 1.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Return date still uncertain
Coach Matt Rhule said Monday that he's not sure whether McCaffrey (ankle) will return "this week, next week or the week after," Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
McCaffrey already has missed four games on IR while recovering from his high right ankle sprain, and Rhule is keeping the door open for him to return any time between Weeks 7 and 9. If McCaffrey isn't activated for Sunday's contest in New Orleans, it could be difficult to get him ready for a Thursday night affair Week 8, in which case his next chance to suit up would come Nov. 8 in Kansas City. With Mike Davis performing so well out of the backfield, the Panthers may feel secure in allowing McCaffrey ample time to get back to 100 percent health.

Miles Sanders RB | DAL
Eagles' Miles Sanders: Not expected to play Thursday
Sanders (knee) is expected to sit out Thursday's game against the Giants, Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports.
The Eagles still are awaiting the results of Sanders' MRI, but Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that he's likely to miss a week or two. Boston Scott stands to draw the start at running back, with Corey Clement working as his backup, if Sanders indeed is forced to miss Thursday's divisional matchup. Philadelphia will also likely be without Zach Ertz (ankle) for at least a handful of games.

JaMycal Hasty RB | NE
49ers' JaMycal Hasty: Gets increased opportunity in win
Hasty rushed nine times for 37 yards in Sunday's 24-16 win over the Rams.
Raheem Mostert (ankle) had to sit out the entire second half, opening the door for Hasty to get on the field for 21 percent of the offensive snaps. The undrafted rookie put his skills on display by hitting the holes his offensive linemen opened hard. While he didn't log a reception, Hasty does possess soft hands, which would be a route to earning more playing time even when the backfield is healthy. It didn't seem as if Mostert's injury was too serious, but Hasty may have carved out a small role in this offense anyway.

Anthony McFarland RB | MIA
Steelers' Anthony McFarland: Logs 10 snaps on offense
McFarland rushed three times for two yards while hauling in his lone target for six yards in Sunday's 38-7 win over the Browns.
Although the Steelers gained a comfortable lead Sunday, McFarland still saw minimal work in the contest, taking the field for 10 of a possible 65 snaps on offense. Much of the late-game rushing work went to fellow depth option Benny Snell, who scored a touchdown early in the fourth quarter. McFarland was effective with limited touches in his season debut against the Texans in Week 3, but overall the 2020 fourth-rounder has recorded just 63 yards from scrimmage while appearing in three games for Pittsburgh.

Jerick McKinnon RB | KC
49ers' Jerick McKinnon: Has 28 yards on eight touches
McKinnon rushed six times for 18 yards and caught two balls for 10 more yards in Sunday's 24-16 win over the Rams.
McKinnon struggled to get anything going for the second week in a row since Raheem Mostert (ankle) returned from injury to reclaim his starting role. The latter suffered yet another injury and had to sit out the second half. It didn't look to be too serious, but there's been no confirmation on whether Mostert will have to miss any time. McKinnon clearly would benefit from becoming the lead back again, as he averaged 13.6 combined touches and 83.6 yards from scrimmage with a touchdown per game over the three contests Mostert missed. If Mostert's removal Sunday proves to be precautionary, then McKinnon's fantasy value will remain low, especially with rookie JaMycal Hasty (21 percent of snaps) emerging as another potential mouth to feed.

Benny Snell RB | DET
Steelers' Benny Snell: Scores TD in win
Snell rushed six times for 17 yards and a TD while also catching his lone target for four yards in Sunday's 38-7 win over the Browns.
Snell's workload has been limited with James Conner fully healthy in recent weeks, but his role has been somewhat consistent as he's touched the ball seven times in each of the Steelers' last three contests. The 22-year-old scored the team's final touchdown in Sunday's blowout win, his first of the season. Snell has seen more work than rookie Anthony McFarland to begin the campaign, but his playing time has been limited while Conner has been on the field.
