  • Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ

Bears' Khalil Herbert: Hits century mark on ground

Herbert rushed 18 times for 100 yards and caught five passes for 33 yards in the Bears' 38-3 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Facing a Bucs defense that boasts one of the best run defenses in the league, Herbert was the lone bright spot for the Bears in this game. Gaining most of his yardage in the first half, he had more yardage on the ground than the team had through the air at intermission. Even though Damien Williams was active, Herbert was the clear lead back, and there's a great chance he'll remain in that role until David Montgomery (knee) returns to the lineup.

  • D'Andre Swift RB | CHI

Lions' D'Andre Swift: Strong effort through air Sunday

Swift (groin) ran for 48 yards on 13 carries against the Rams on Sunday, adding eight receptions on 10 targets for 96 yards and one touchdown.

The Lions made the game closer than expected in the 28-19 loss, largely because of Swift's excellent output as a receiver. Swift's workload as a runner might always be limited and perhaps durability isn't his strong suit, but he's shown multiple times this year that he can provide standout fantasy production even while sharing the rushing workload with fellow running back Jamaal Williams, who ran for 57 yards on 12 carries against the Rams. It would be helpful if Jared Goff could be more productive, but in the meantime Swift has shown the ability to produce even if Detroit is subjected to poor quarterback play. The formula should stay mostly the same for Detroit as they take on Philadelphia in Week 8.

  • J.J. Taylor RB | HOU

Patriots' J.J. Taylor: Two late TDs in 54-13 win

Taylor rushed nine times for 21 yards and two touchdowns while catching his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 54-13 win over the Jets.

Taylor was effective in mop-up duty, powering in a pair of one-yard rushing touchdowns as the Patriots piled it on in the fourth. Prior to Taylor's touchdowns, Damien Harris scored twice on the ground and Brandon Bolden took a screen pass to the house. Rookie Rhamondre Stevenson also remains in the mix for carries -- though he was inactive for this one -- so Taylor's touch floor will remain low in Week 8 against the Chargers.

  • Damien Harris RB | BUF

Patriots' Damien Harris: Rumbles for two TDs in blowout

Harris rushed 14 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns while catching both of his targets for seven yards in Sunday's 54-13 win over the Jets.

Harris gave the Patriots a 14-0 first-quarter lead with a one-yard rushing score, then scored from three yards out in the fourth to make it 41-13. New England also got two rushing touchdowns from J.J. Taylor and a receiving touchdown from Brandon Bolden, as the entire backfield dominated a depleted Jets defense that badly missed C.J. Mosley (hamstring). Harris remains the Patriots' primary rushing option heading into a Week 8 road tilt with the Chargers.

  • Myles Gaskin RB | SEA

Dolphins' Myles Gaskin: Performs well with heavier workload

Gaskin rushed 15 times for 67 yards, secured all four targets for 10 yards and a touchdown and returned two kickoffs for 29 yards in the Dolphins' 30-28 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.

Gaskin had logged single-digit carry totals for three straight games prior to Sunday, but he parlayed a season-high number of carries into a new high-water mark in rushing yardage. Gaskin also made his mark through the air while notching his third straight multi-catch tally and his third receiving touchdown of the campaign on a seven-yard scoring grab just before the halfway point of the fourth quarter. Whether Gaskin's rushing volume holds up in a Week 8 road battle against the Bills remains to be seen, however, considering Buffalo could well force Miami into a pass-heavy game script at some point during that road divisional clash.

  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

Eagles' Miles Sanders: Ruled out Sunday

Sanders (ankle) won't return to Sunday's game in Las Vegas.

Sanders opened the game getting five carries on the Eagles' opening eight-play drive that ended in a touchdown. On the team's second possession, though, he got injured on a screen pass and attempted to limp to the sideline before going to the ground. He eventually made it off the field, and after a visit to the sideline tent he was carted to the locker room. With no chance to come back into Sunday's contest, Sanders will finish Week 7 with six rushes for 30 yards and one catch for minus-3 yards. In Sanders' place, Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott will man Philadelphia's backfield.

  • Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Quiet on 14 carries

Gibson ran for 51 yards on 14 carries against Green Bay on Sunday while catching two passes on two targets for five yards.

Gibson continues to play through a hairline shin fracture that appears to be hindering him as a runner, and his sluggish 2021 rushing production to this point seems to support that idea. Through seven games, Gibson has 408 yards and three touchdowns on 103 carries, leaving him with an average of 4.0 yards per carry and just one 20-yard carry after producing five carries of 20-plus yards at 4.7 yards per carry over 170 attempts in 2020. Washington has a bye week in Week 9, but first it has to go to Denver on Sunday in Week 8.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Leaves Sunday's game

Jacobs exited Sunday's game against the Eagles with a chest injury.

Prior to departing the contest, Jacobs logged six carries for 29 yards and a TD and caught three passes for 39 yards. With Peyton Barber inactive Sunday, Kenyan Drake is next up for the Raiders' carries, with Jalen Richard on hand for change-of-pace looks.

  • Samaje Perine RB | CIN

Bengals' Samaje Perine: Scores long TD late

Perine rushed 11 times for 52 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-17 win over the Ravens.

Perine turned in his best performance of the season in this one, but his final stat line may be deceiving. The veteran back received a huge uptick in touches -- 11 to starter Joe Mixon's 12 -- due to the blowout nature of the contest in the fourth quarter. Not to take anything away from his production, but the majority of his positive gains came on a 46-yard touchdown scamper late in the final period. The big play may earn Perine a few more looks next week against the Jets, but fantasy managers should not overreact to what might end up being an anomalous outing for the backup.

  • Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Gets into end zone in win

Patterson rushed 14 times for 60 yards and a touchdown, brought in two of five targets for one yard and returned two kickoffs for 43 yards in the Falcons' 30-28 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

Patterson filled his usual all-purpose role with aplomb, even as he had a more muted day than usual through the air. The hybrid asset made up for that by taking 14 carries for the second straight contest and notching a new high-water mark in rushing yards in the process. Patterson also posted his second rushing touchdown of the season by bulldozing his way into the end zone from three yards out early in the fourth quarter, rounding out a strong fantasy tally. The veteran notably outpaced backfield mate Mike Davis by 10 carries, signaling he may have essentially taken over lead-back duties for the time being. Patterson will look to continue producing in a Week 8 divisional home clash against the struggling Panthers.
