  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Titans' D'Onta Foreman: Bumped up from practice squad

The Titans signed Foreman to the active roster Saturday, John Glennon of BroadwaySportsMedia.com reports.

Tennessee signed Foreman to the practice squad earlier this week after Derrick Henry (foot) was placed on IR. With the Titans also adding Adrian Peterson, it's likely Foreman will file in behind Jeremy McNichols and Peterson at running back Sunday against the Rams.

  • Bears' Damien Williams: Out against Pittsburgh

Williams (knee) will not play Monday against the Steelers.

Williams failed to practice all week, which will culminate in his second missed game over the last four weeks. Rookie Khalil Herbert had already surpassed Williams as the clear-cut starter over the past two weeks, but the possible return of David Montgomery (knee) from injured reserve could complicate the backfield situation somewhat. More information regarding Montgomery's situation, and by default Herbert's, should arrive sometime in the afternoon Sunday.

  • Bears' David Montgomery: Trending toward playing Monday

Bears coach Matt Nagy said "there's a really good chance" Montgomery (knee), who is currently designated to return from injured reserve, will play in Monday's contest against the Steelers, Adam Hoge of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

This is going to be a difficult situation for fantasy managers considering the Bears don't need to activate Montgomery off injured reserve until later in the afternoon Sunday. It's a bit surprising the star running back is even considered possibly available for Monday's contest given the Bears will have their bye take place in Week 10, theoretically giving the 24-year-old an ample amount of time to recover from his scary Week 4 knee injury, but this does fit nicely with the reported four-week recovery timeline. It's also worth noting primary backup Damien Williams (knee) has already been ruled out ahead of Monday's contest. Regardless of whether or not Montgomery plays, expect rookie Khalil Herbert to be a factor at least somewhat given his impressive figures as Montgomery's fill-in (388 total yards across four games).

  • Giants' Gary Brightwell: Officially questionable

Brightwell (undisclosed) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Raiders.

Brightwell missed Thursday's and Friday's practice after landing in COVID-19 protocol. If he is ultimately cleared ahead of Sunday's game, he will be expected to provide depth in the backfield behind Devontae Booker and Elijhaa Penny as well as contribute on special teams.

  • Bears' Damien Williams: Idle for second straight practice

Williams (knee) didn't participate in Friday's practice.

He'll have one more chance this week to get back on the field in some capacity, but if Williams remains a non-participant in Saturday's session, he'll likely be ruled out in advance of Monday's game against the Steelers. If Williams isn't available Week 9, Khalil Herbert would represent the clear top option among the running backs currently on the 53-man roster, though David Montgomery (knee) resumed practicing this week and could have a chance to return from a four-game stint on injured reserve as soon as Monday.

  • Cardinals' Jonathan Ward: Out for Sunday

Ward (concussion) will not play Sunday against the 49ers, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Ward sustained the concussion in the Cardinals' loss to Green Bay in Week 8, and he hasn't been able to practice all week. Ward primarily contributes on special teams and will try to clear protocols in time for the Cardinals' Week 10 matchup with Carolina.

  • Chase Edmonds RB | WAS

Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Cleared for Sunday's game

Edmonds (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the 49ers.

After being limited in the Cardinals' first two Week 9 practices due to the shoulder issue, Edmonds received the green light for Sunday after practicing in full Friday. Meanwhile, the two most important members of the Cardinals' passing attack -- quarterback Kyler Murray (ankle) and wideout DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) -- are listed as questionable after failing to practice in any fashion, with head coach Kliff Kingsbury terming both as game-day decisions leading up to the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. The potential absence of Murray in particular could prompt Kingsbury to opt for a more run-heavy approach Sunday, which could translate to more touches for Edmonds and James Conner out of the backfield.

  • 49ers' Elijah Mitchell: Takes questionable tag into weekend

Mitchell (ribs) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Per Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, Mitchell was on the practice field Friday for the second straight day, but he continued to sport a blue no-contact jersey during the session. The 49ers may just be taking some extra precaution by limiting Mitchell's exposure to contact, but his ability to practice in any capacity on back-to-back days bodes well for his chances of suiting up this weekend. Fantasy managers will still want to check back in on the status of Mitchell approximately 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, when San Francisco will release its inactive list. Assuming Mitchell is active, he should serve as the 49ers' lead option on the ground after clearing 100 yards rushing in both of the past two weeks.

  • Titans' Khari Blasingame: Won't play Sunday

Blasingame (knee) will not play Sunday against the Rams, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Blasingame will miss his second consecutive game Sunday after not being able to get in any practice time this week. With Derrick Henry (foot) on IR, the fullback's blocking skills will be sorely missed. Tory Carter (shoulder) has been added to the active roster to replace him, but he is also dealing with an injury and is questionable Sunday. Blasingame will try to return in Week 10 against the Saints.

  • Saquon Barkley RB | PHI

Giants' Saquon Barkley: Will miss another game

The Giants have ruled Barkley (ankle) out for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Though Barkley was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday after the Giants determined a past test result for the virus was a false positive, he wasn't able to make enough progress in his recovery from a sprained left ankle to put an end to a three-game absence this weekend. Barkley noted prior to the Giants' Week 8 loss to the Chiefs that he experienced some renewed soreness and swelling in the ankle, but with the benefit of a Week 10 bye, the team is likely hoping that the star running back can make it back on the field for a Nov. 22 game in Tampa Bay in Week 11. The Giants will turn to Devontae Booker to handle a lead role out of the backfield once again this weekend versus Las Vegas.
