Demetric Felton RB | WAS
Browns' Demetric Felton: Remains on RB depth chart
The Browns continue to list Felton on the depth chart at running back, even though he hasn't spent a full practice day with the running backs since May, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
Felton spent most of training camp with the wideouts and was often among the first group at slot receiver during full-team drills. His usage in camp and the Browns' decision to keep four other running backs suggests Felton's clearest path to playing time will likely come at receiver. The wideout depth chart is full of unproven targets beyond Amari Cooper, so the Brown could bring in another receiver before Week 1 to round out the position group.

Jermar Jefferson RB | SF
Lions' Jermar Jefferson: Survives roster cuts
Jefferson made the Lions' initial 53-man roster Tuesday as their No. 4 running back, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
After being outdone by Justin Jackson this preseason while seemingly offering less value on special teams than Godwin Igwebuike, Jefferson surprisingly survived roster cuts after getting beat out by Igwebuike in 2021. However, Craig Reynolds remains in the No. 3 slot, so Jefferson won't necessarily be next in line for work if something happens to D'Andre Swift or Jamaal Williams.

Spencer Brown RB | ATL
Spencer Brown: Waived with injury designation
The Panthers waived/injured Brown (ankle) on Tuesday, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.
Brown will revert to Carolina's injured reserve assuming he goes unclaimed on waivers. If that occurs, the running back will be slated to miss the entire 2022 season barring an injury settlement.

Isiah Pacheco RB | DET
Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Lands spot on roster
Pacheco made Kansas City's initial 53-man roster along with running backs Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Jerick McKinnon and Ronald Jones.
It's unknown who will get the initial chance to spell Edwards-Helaire, but Pacheco, a 2022 seventh-round pick, flashed some during the preseason, notching 16 carries for 66 yards (4.1 YPC) and reeling in all three targets for 21 yards. Even with McKinnon and Jones also making the team, Pacheco may still be able to see snaps on offense right away due to his all-around ability.

Jerick McKinnon RB | KC
Chiefs' Jerick McKinnon: Makes KC's roster
McKinnon survived cut-down day Tuesday and made Kansas City's initial roster along with running backs Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Isiah Pacheco and Ronald Jones.
After Kansas City cut Derrick Gore last Thursday and undrafted rookie Tayon Fleet-Davis on Saturday, there was anticipation the team may do the same with McKinnon or Jones to reduce the roster from 80 to 53 players. In the end though, coach Andy Reid opted to keep both veterans. It's unclear who will get the first shot to spell Edwards-Helaire, but McKinnon has experience doing so last season, averaging 16 touches for 105 yards from scrimmage and recording a receiving TD during KC's three-game playoff run back in January. While Edwards-Helaire is healthy though, McKinnon could be limited mostly to passing downs to begin the upcoming campaign.

Jaylen Warren RB | PIT
Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Earns spot on 53-man roster
Warren is part of the Steelers' 53-man roster ahead of the 2022 season, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Warren made a strong impression during training camp and preseason play after joining the team as an undrafted free agent. The Oklahoma State product rushed 16 times for 48 yards while securing seven of eight targets for 54 yards and a touchdown during the preseason and ultimately beat out Anthony McFarland for a depth role in the backfield. Najee Harris is cemented as Pittsburgh's clear lead back and saw plenty of work last season, but Warren has a legitimate shot at carving out a role as the team's No. 2 running back, with Benny Snell as his competition.

Nick Bawden RB | HOU
Jets' Nick Bawden: Lands on IR
Bawden (undisclosed) was placed on the Jets' injured reserve Tuesday, Andy Vasquez of NJ.com reports.
It's unclear what injury Bawden is dealing with, but he will be forced to miss the entirety of the regular season unless he can negotiate an injury settlement with the team. The 26-year-old fullback recorded one catch for 20 yards over nine games with the team in 2021, though he primarily played on special teams (164 of his 220 total snaps) over that span.

Kenneth Walker III RB | KC
Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Still no timetable for return
Coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday that Walker's status for Week 1 against the Broncos is in question due to his ongoing recovery from a hernia procedure, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Meanwhile, Rashaad Penny returned to the team Tuesday after a brief bout with COVID-19, per Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle. Carroll's comments effectively were a non-update on Walker, who has been sidelined since mid-August due to the aforementioned surgery. With no set timeline announced, the rookie second-rounder appears to be in limbo until he gains medical clearance.

Rashaad Penny RB | CAR
Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Puts end to COVID absence
Coach Pete Carroll said Penny returned to team facilities Tuesday from his bout with COVID-19, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Penny tested positive for COVID-19 last Thursday, ensuring that he wouldn't see any game action during the preseason. He sat out the exhibition opener due to a minor groin injury before being a healthy scratch for preseason Week 2. Penny's ability to stay healthy has been an issue throughout his career, but his impressive end to the 2021 campaign (671 yards and six TDs on the ground over the final five games) has him in good standing ahead of a Week 1 matchup with the Broncos. Helping his cause further is the fact rookie second-round pick Kenneth Walker's status for the opener is in question due to his recovery from hernia surgery, according to Brady Henderson of ESPN.com.

Patrick Taylor RB | SF
Patrick Taylor: Waived by Packers
The Packers waived Taylor on Tuesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Taylor appeared in nine games for Green Bay last year, but the Packers will role with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon as their only two healthy running backs ahead of the regular season. Over three preseason games, Taylor rushed 18 times for 71 yards while tallying three receptions for 17 yards.
