Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
49ers' Christian McCaffrey: To make debut with new team
McCaffrey is active for Sunday's contest against the Chiefs, Lindsey Pallares and Briana McDonald of the 49ers' official site report.
Three days removed following his trade from Carolina to San Francisco, McCaffrey will be available to his new offense, which comes as no surprise after both Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and Adam Schefter of ESPN reported as much Saturday evening. Jay Glazer of FOX Sports noted earlier Sunday that McCaffrey was in line for about 20 snaps on offense in his debut with the team, so it appears he'll be working behind Jeff Wilson off the bat. On the season, McCaffrey is averaging 4.6 YPC on his 85 rushes and has also hauled in 33 of 43 targets in six appearances, so he still could be productive with limited usage.

Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Ravens' Kenyan Drake: Set to help fill in for Dobbins
With J.K. Dobbins (knee) on injured reserve, Drake, Justice Hill and Gus Edwards will handle the Ravens' backfield duties Sunday against the Browns, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports.
Edwards was activated from the PUP list on Saturday following a lengthy layoff, so it's unclear how much volume he'll see in his return to the mix. Last week against the Giants, with Hill sidelined, Drake racked up 119 yards and a TD on 10 carries in relief of Dobbins, so he should have an opportunity to build off that effort this Sunday, though once Edwards is able to re-prove his health he's a candidate to claim a solid portion of the team's early down touches.

Gus Edwards RB | LAC
Ravens' Gus Edwards: Seen taking first-team reps
Edwards lined up with the Ravens' first-team offense in pre-game warmups, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Edwards was activated form the PUP list Saturday and is active for the first time this season. This report suggests he could quickly take over as the primary running back, but Baltimore's distribution of playing time is unclear with J.K. Dobbins (knee) on IR. Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill also remain in the team's backfield mix.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
49ers' Christian McCaffrey: In line for roughly 20 snaps
McCaffrey is in line for approximately 20 snaps Sunday against Kansas City, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.
McCaffrey was originally not expected to play this week after getting traded to the 49ers on Thursday, but he's caught on quickly by watching tape of every team meeting this week. After meeting with the coaching staff and studying the playbook, coach Kyle Shanahan decided to incorporate him into the game plan, but that exact role has been largely unknown. In his report, Glazer noted that 20 snaps is just the plan, but added a qualifier that it "could change depending how the game goes."

Gus Edwards RB | LAC
Ravens' Gus Edwards: Back in action in Week 7
Edwards is active for Sunday's game against the Browns, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.
With Edwards off the PUP list and back in action for the first time since suffering a knee injury that forced him to miss the 2021 season, Mike Davis was made inactive by the Ravens. It remains to be seen how much volume Edwards will see out of the gate after the long layoff, with Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill also in the team's backfield mix, but with J.K. Dobbins (knee) now on IR, there should be some early down snaps available for Edwards in the coming weeks.

D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE
Panthers' D'Onta Foreman: Won't start in place of McCaffrey
Foreman will serve as the Panthers' No. 2 running back Sunday against the Buccaneers with Chuba Hubbard listed as the starter, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
In the wake of the Christian McCaffrey trade to the 49ers, there was a belief Foreman could be the primary early-down option out of Carolina's backfield, but Hubbard instead will get the first chance to serve as McCaffrey's replacement. Foreman should mix into the offense in some capacity, but he's managed just 3.1 YPC on his 12 rushes this season and has been targeted only 22 times in 32 career contests, so he may be limited to situational work moving forward.

Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR
Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Listed as starting RB
Hubbard is listed as Carolina's starting running back for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Carolina's backfield carries are uncertain after the trade of Christian McCaffrey. It looks like Hubbard will get the first shot at getting the bulk of carries, which is a mild surprise as D'Onta Foreman was thought to be the next in line to start. However, the team may use a rotation, and the position could remain in flux.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Lions' D'Andre Swift: Not suiting up in Week 7
Swift (ankle/shoulder) is listed as inactive Sunday at Dallas.
Following the Lions' Week 6 bye, Swift attempted to gear up for a return to action by logging three consecutive limited sessions ahead of this contest. Still, it wasn't enough to make himself available to the Lions offense, despite telling Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press that he was "pushing towards" suiting up Sunday. Swift thus will miss a third game in a row, again yielding backfield reps to Jamaal Williams, with Craig Reynolds and Justin Jackson on hand for any reps that linger. His next chance to play arrives next Sunday against the Dolphins.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
49ers' Christian McCaffrey: Expected to suit up Sunday
McCaffrey is expected to play Sunday against Kansas City, according to both Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Per Schefter, the 49ers have a package of plays in store for McCaffrey, who has been in the process of absorbing the team's playbook since being traded from the Panthers on Thursday. With that in mind, it remains to be seen what sort of of volume McCaffrey is in line for in his looming debut with the 49ers, though it appears he'll have a chance to make his mark in Week 7, with fellow RB Jeff Wilson also a candidate to remain a factor Sunday.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB | KC
Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Could yield Week 7 start
Edwards-Helaire's teammate Isiah Pacheco is a candidate to start Sunday's game against the 49ers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The report notes that Pacheco took first-team reps in practice this week and is expected to draw the start Sunday, with Edwards-Helaire maintaining a key role in Kansas City's offense and Jerick McKinnon mixing in. Per Rapoport, both Pacheco and Edwards-Helaire are expected to see significant snaps against the 49ers, so Edwards-Helaire still figures to factor in, but the looming possibility that Pacheco (who logged just two carries in Week 6) assumes a larger role in Week 7 threatens Edwards-Helaire's fantasy ceiling.
