Matt Breida RB | SF
Giants' Matt Breida: Totals season-high 33 yards
Breida rushed four times for 19 yards and nabbed his only target for 14 yards in Sunday's 23-17 win against Jacksonville.
The Jaguars were gashed on the ground by both Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones, who each totaled over 100 rushing yards. Breida got in on the action to a far lesser extent, tallying his highest rushing total since Week 1 despite getting just four carries. He also converted his only air target into 14 yards to finish with a season-best 33 total yards. Breida has been getting a handful of touches per game to cement his position as New York's No. 2 back, but that doesn't translate into fantasy viability with Barkley in a workhorse role.

Raheem Mostert RB | LV
Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Produces 109 yards plus TD
Mostert rushed 16 times for 79 yards and caught four of five targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Steelers.
Mostert was arguably Miami's best offensive player Sunday, going for over 100 combined yards while scoring the team's only touchdown. The veteran tailback has clearly pulled away from the struggling Chase Edmonds (seven carries for 17 yards) as the lead back, and he has now produced two games with at least 100 yards and a touchdown over the last three weeks. Mostert is looking like a must-start fantasy asset heading into a favorable matchup against Detroit next Sunday.

AJ Dillon RB | CAR
Packers' AJ Dillon: Limited to four carries Sunday
Dillon rushed four times for 15 yards and didn't draw a target in the Packers' 23-21 loss to the Commanders on Sunday.
The bruising tailback's disappointing season hit a new low Sunday, as Dillon logged the fewest carries and rushing yards of the campaign. He also wasn't targeted for the second time in three contests, leaving his fantasy outlook notably depressed going into a Week 8 matchup against the Bills on Sunday night.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Broncos' Melvin Gordon: Leads backfield split against Jets
Gordon rushed the ball 11 times for 33 yards in Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Jets. He added two receptions for 17 yards.
As promised by coach Nathaniel Hackett, Gordon both started and led the Broncos' backfield against the Jets. However, he only out-touched Latavius Murray 13-10 and was also off the field during the team's only touchdown drive of the game. While Gordon may be the starter in name, Denver's backfield appears to be a near even split between Gordon and Murray. If the offense continues to struggle, neither back is likely to produce at a significant clip.
-
Jeff Wilson RB | MIA
49ers' Jeff Wilson: Produces in smaller role
Wilson rushed seven times for 54 yards and failed to haul in his lone target in Sunday's 44-23 loss to Kansas City.
Wilson remained the starter following a mid-week trade for Christian McCaffrey, but he experienced a drop in usage following the addition of one of the best backs in the league. The incumbent figures to remain involved in the offensive gameplan even after McCaffrey inevitably takes over as the featured back, but the veteran's days as a startable fantasy asset are likely over following the blockbuster trade. Wilson's role may reduce even further against the Rams next Sunday.

Najee Harris RB | LAC
Steelers' Najee Harris: Tallies 80 yards from scrimmage
Harris rushed 17 times for 65 yards while securing three of four targets for 15 yards during Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Dolphins.
Harris has had an inconsistent start to the 2022 campaign, but he logged his second-highest total of the season in yards from scrimmage. The 24-year-old has failed to top 100 yards in any of the first seven games of the season, and it's possible that he faces an unfavorable game script next week if the Steelers fall behind early to the undefeated Eagles.

Nyheim Miller-Hines RB | NO
Colts' Nyheim Hines: Involved as pass catcher
Hines tallied four rushes for two yards in Sunday's 19-10 loss to the Titans. He added five receptions on five targets for 41 yards.
Hines returned from a one-game absence and immediately stepped back into his typical role as a change-of-pace back. He continued to be a non-factor as a rusher, as he now has 13 attempts for 16 yards on the season. Hines was more impressive as a pass catcher, with his longest reception of the day going for 14 yards. Hines has at least four catches in four of his six games this season -- he exited on the first possession in Week 5 -- and should continue to hold a consistent role as a pass catcher out of the backfield moving forward.

Tyler Allgeier RB | ARI
Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Tallies first career touchdown
Allgeier carried the ball 16 times for 50 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 35-17 loss to the Bengals.
After splitting work with Caleb Huntley in Week 6, Allgeier took hold of the lead back role against the Bengals by accounting for 16 of the team's 23 carries by running backs. He failed to tally a gain of at least 10 yards, though he did manage a pair of nine and eight-yard rushes, respectively. However, the highlight of his day came on a one-yard plunge into the end zone just before halftime -- the first touchdown of his career. Allgeier has at least 10 carries in five of his six games this season, tallying 50 or more rushing yards on three occasions.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB | KC
Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Still productive after demotion
Edwards-Helaire rushed six times for 32 yards and a touchdown and failed to bring in his lone target in Sunday's 44-23 win over the 49ers.
It was reported before the game that Isiah Pacheco (8-43-0) would get the start over Edwards-Helaire, but that the latter would remain involved in the gameplan. That held true for the most part, and both backs performed well despite seeing single-digit touches. CEH has been inconsistent at times, but the overall results have been solid through two-plus seasons, so it is a bit surprising that he was demoted so suddenly. Kansas City is about to head into its bye week, so perhaps the team will shed more light on its backfield situation in the coming weeks. Fantasy managers should hang onto Edwards-Helaire through his bye if possible, because he can retain fantasy value even as the backup in a committee backfield of a potent offense.

Isiah Pacheco RB | DET
Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Draws start, rushes for 43 yards
Pacheco rushed eight times for 43 yards in Sunday's 44-23 win over San Francisco. He was not targeted in the passing game.
Pacheco got the start over Clyde Edwards-Helaire (6-32-1) as previously reported, but it ended up being more of a committee approach with four non-QB Chiefs receiving two or more carries. The electric rookie actually finished with more carries in two previous games as a backup this season than he did in his first career start. The 23-year-old would need to see more than eight touches to become a reliable fantasy asset, but he should be rostered -- even with Kansas City's upcoming bye week -- after being named the starter on a potent offense. Pacheco and the Chiefs will take on the Titans on Nov. 6 in Week 9.
