Elijah Mitchell RB | NE
49ers' Elijah Mitchell: Gets 12 percent of snaps
Mitchell had three carries for two yards and failed to bring in his lone target in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Bengals.
Mitchell was the only 49ers backup running back to receive carries for the second straight week. The 25-year-old wound up logging seven snaps on offense, but he barely made an impact in the box score Sunday. Mitchell's inconsistent play combined with a smaller role on offense this year should keep him out of fantasy lineups when San Francisco returns from its bye to face the Jaguars on Sunday, Nov. 12.

Boston Scott RB | PIT
Eagles' Boston Scott: Plays just one offensive snap
Scott caught one pass for four yards in Sunday's 38-31 win against Washington.
Scott missed Week 3 with a concussion and has since been on the field for a grand total of six offensive snaps in the last five games, including just one against the Commanders. In a sense, the fact that he received a touch on 100 percent of the snaps he played in Week 8 is an impressive figure, but it's not a performance which will have helped many fantasy teams. Scott needs at least one injury ahead of him on the depth chart if he's to play enough to have real fantasy relevance.

Kenneth Gainwell RB | TB
Eagles' Kenneth Gainwell: Two carries but five catches
Gainwell rushed twice for a loss of two yards in Sunday's 38-31 win over the Commanders but added five catches for 30 yards.
Gainwell played a minimal role in the rushing game, but his receptions, receiving yards and targets (five) all represented season highs. In terms of total touches, however, he's now been held to single digits for five consecutive games, and his offensive snap count fell to a season-low 18.

Cordarrelle Patterson RB | PIT
Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Two rushing attempts in loss
Patterson rushed two times for seven yards during Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Titans.
With Bijan Robinson (illness) back to full strength, Patterson reverted to a gadget piece. Despite solid production the last two years, it appears Patterson won't have fantasy value as long as Robinson and Tyler Allgeier are healthy this season.
-
Tyler Allgeier RB | ARI
Falcons' Tyler Allgeier: Modest role in loss
Allgeier rushed eight times for 31 yards during Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Titans.
With Bijan Robinson (illness) back to full strength, Allgeier saw his fewest rushing attempts since Week 4 and wasn't targeted in the passing attack. It was just the third time the BYU product has garnered single-digit touches this year, and he remains a low-end RB3 who likely needs to find the end zone to deliver quality fantasy production.

Ke'Shawn Vaughn RB | SF
Buccaneers' Ke'Shawn Vaughn: Role reduced with Edmonds return
Vaughn rushed once for one yard across four snaps in the Buccaneers' 24-18 loss to the Bills on Thursday night.
Vaughn's minimal contribution was party a byproduct of his sparse snap count, but the fourth-year running back hadn't cleared 16 rushing yards in any of the prior three contests despite a double-digit tally of plays from scrimmage in each of those games. Vaughn could be a healthy scratch in Week 9 against the Texans if Chase Edmonds, who made his return from injured reserve Thursday and logged eight snaps, projects for an expanded workload.
-
Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Buccaneers' Chase Edmonds: Five touches in return
Edmonds (knee) rushed three times for five yards and brought in two of three targets for 16 yards in the Buccaneers' 24-18 loss to the Bills on Thursday.
Edmonds made his return from a four-game absence due to a knee injury and was very busy relative to opportunity. The versatile back logged only eight snaps from scrimmage, so in that context, his five touches were encouraging. Edmonds could continue to see his role expand in coming games, with his next opportunity coming in a Week 9 road matchup against the Texans.

DeeJay Dallas RB | JAC
Seahawks' DeeJay Dallas: No offensive snaps in win
Dallas didn't log an offensive snap in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Browns. He totaled 15 yards on two punt returns.
Dallas lost his kick-return duties in Week 8 with Dee Eskridge returning to the lineup. He has averaged 12.7 yards per punt return this season, which ranks fourth in the league for players with more than 10 returns. He should retain active status each week, but his fantasy utility will be negligible as long as Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet are healthy.
-
Zach Charbonnet RB | SEA
Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Out-snaps Walker in win
Charbonnet rushed five times for 53 yards and caught both of his targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Browns.
For the first time this season, Charbonnet led Seahawks running backs with 31 snaps (56 percent) while Kenneth Walker logged 24 snaps (44 percent). Still, Walker narrowly took the majority of the touches, turning eight carries into 66 yards and two targets into one four-yard catch. It's encouraging that Charbonnet was effective with his usage Week 8, but it's unclear whether the tables are actually turning in this backfield. After all, Walker dealt with a calf injury during the practice week and could have handled a limited workload as a result. This is an RB situation worth keeping an eye on as the team travels to Baltimore in Week 9.
