  • Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT

Steelers' Aaron Rodgers: Hopes to practice Thursday

Rodgers (wrist) didn't practice Wednesday but hopes to return Thursday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Rodgers told reporters that he's currently more comfortable taking snaps in shotgun but hopes to be ready for snaps under center later this week. He said his Sunday availability will be a matter of safety and functionality, not pain management, deferring to coach Mike Tomlin on any potential timeline for naming the Week 12 starter. Mason Rudolph will lead the first-team offense during Wednesday's practice.

  • Raiders' Aidan O'Connell: Activated from IR

The Raiders activated O'Connell (wrist) from injured reserve Wednesday.

O'Connell fractured his right wrist during the preseason and was out for more than two months before returning to practice at the end of October. Geno Smith's poor performance this season could open the door for O'Connell and/or Kenny Pickett to make starts down the stretch.

  • Dak Prescott QB | DAL

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Dealing with hip injury

Prescott is dealing with a minor hip injury that may limit his practice participation this week, Patrik Walker of the Cowboys' official site reports.

Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said Prescott suffered the injury during Monday's win at Las Vegas. It doesn't sound like anything that will prevent the QB from playing this Sunday against the Eagles, but he may not handle his usual practice workload.

  • Jameis Winston QB | NYG

Giants' Jameis Winston: Likely set for No. 2 QB role Sunday

With Jaxson Dart (concussion) "trending to play" against the Lions on Sunday, per Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com, Winston is expected to serve as the Giants' No. 2 quarterback in Week 12.

Winston took over the starting role for this past Sunday's loss to Green Bay and did fine, completing 19 of 29 passes for 201 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. However, there was never any doubt that Dart would resume starting duties when cleared to do so, and he appears to be in line to return against Detroit after returning to practice (albeit in a non-contact capacity) Wednesday. The rookie signal-caller remains in the NFL's concussion protocol, however, and in the unlikely event he's unable to be cleared by Sunday, Winston would be in line for another start.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Not practicing Wednesday

Jackson (undisclosed) wasn't spotted at practice Wednesday, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.

It remains to be seen if the star QB's absence is deemed rest-related or if Jackson is still managing the knee issue that kept him out of last Wednesday's practice. Jackson followed that DNP with consecutive full sessions before heading into Week 11 action without an injury designation. With no reported setbacks in the team's subsequent win over the Browns, a similar pattern could unfold as Sunday's game against the Jets approaches.

  • Jaxson Dart QB | NYG

Giants' Jaxson Dart: Taking first QB reps Wednesday

Dart (concussion) was the first quarterback up during Wednesday's practice, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

The Giants are holding a non-contact session to begin Week 12 prep, but Dart's ability to handle the initial QB reps is a good sign that he's trending toward a return to action Sunday at Detroit. He'll need to clear the concussion protocol, including meeting with an independent neurologist, in order to do so, but it appears he'll miss only one game as a result of the head injury he suffered during a Week 10 loss in Chicago.

  • Joe Flacco QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Flacco: Not practicing Wednesday

Flacco (shoulder) won't practice Wednesday, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Flacco continues to manage a shoulder issue, but Conway notes that the veteran QB will throw Thursday. Meanwhile, fellow signal caller Joe Burrow, who is working his way back from a toe injury, is slated to get some 11-on-11 work in Wednesday. Per Ben Baby of ESPN, Burrow appears to be targeting a return to action as soon as the Bengals' Thanksgiving Day game against the Ravens, a context that puts Flacco in a position to draw at least one more start, barring any setbacks. Cincinnati hosts New England for a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday.

  • Kyle Trask QB | TB

Kyle Trask: Joins Falcons' practice squad

Trask signed with the Falcons' practice squad Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.

The 2021 second-round pick from Florida was cut by Tampa Bay in late August after failing to make the team's initial 53-man roster, but he's since found work in Atlanta. Trask is now expected to operate as the Falcons' emergency third quarterback, playing behind Kirk Cousins and Easton Stick.

  • Easton Stick QB | ATL

Falcons' Easton Stick: Serving as No. 2 quarterback

Atlanta signed Stick off its practice squad Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.

Head coach Raheem Morris confirmed Wednesday that Stick will step in as Atlanta's new No. 2 quarterback, with Kirk Cousins elevating into the starting role after Michael Penix (knee) was officially placed on injured reserve after sustaining a season-ending partial tear of his ACL in this past Sunday's 30-27 overtime loss to Carolina. Stick's last NFL action came with the Chargers in 2023, when he appeared in five games and threw for 1,129 yards, three touchdowns and one interception while adding 144 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground.

  • Jets' Justin Fields: Will back up Taylor on Sunday

Coach Aaron Glenn confirmed Wednesday that Fields will be the Jets' No. 2 QB on Sunday against the Ravens, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Brady Cook is on the Jets' practice squad, but at this stage Glenn notes that the 24-year-old signal caller is still developing, per Eric Allen of the team's official site. As a result, Fields -- who went 2-7 over his nine starts for the 2-8 Jets -- will back up Tyrod Taylor, who has officially been named the starter versus Baltimore this weekend.
