Prescott sustained the injury when his right hand hit the hand of Buccaneers pass rusher Shaquil Barrett on a pass attempt during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 19-3 loss. While Prescott stayed in the game for one more snap -- a screen pass to Ezekiel Elliott -- the quarterback then left the game due to his inability to grip the football. Considering the aforementioned timeline, Prescott may be able to return as soon as a Week 7 matchup with the Lions, but the Cowboys could opt to wait until after the team's Week 9 bye. In the meantime, Dallas will turn to Cooper Rush under center, with Will Grier as the No. 2 QB.

Driskel reverted to the Texans' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Driskel was expected to be Houston's No. 3 quarterback, but he suited up ahead of Kyle Allen against the Colts on Sunday. The veteran quarterback saw the field two times in short-yardage situations, and he carried the ball once for five yards.

Wilson (knee) will work with receivers in individual drills ahead of Week 2, but he won't do any full-team drills, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports.

Wilson had an outside shot at playing Week 1, but after he was ruled out, the team said he likely won't suit up until at least Week 4. It's an encouraging sign to see the young quarterback returning to practice, but he still has some rehab ahead of him. Joe Flacco drew the start in the season-opening loss to the Ravens, and coach Robert Saleh said the veteran would "more than likely" start again Week 2 with Wilson sidelined.

Jones (back) is believed to be dealing with spasms and received negative X-ray results Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Jones appears to have a shot at suiting up for Sunday's road matchup against the Steelers, but the final word on his status likely will come down to what the second-year quarterback can do in practice. Whatever the case, it's a positive development for New England that Jones has dodged a major injury. The team has veteran Brian Hoyer and rookie Bailey Zappe waiting in the wings if Jones needs to spend any amount of time on the sideline.

Love completed four of five passes for 65 yards in Sunday's loss to the Vikings.

With just over a minute to go and the Packers trailing by 16 points, Love replaced starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers and handled the final drive of the game. Love completed all four passes he got off, with the lone misfire coming on a spiked ball to stop the clock. The efficient outing bodes well for Love's confidence but does nothing to change his status as the backup behind Rodgers.

Driskel was active for Week 1 against Indianapolis, getting on the field for two plays and carrying the ball once for five yards in a 20-20 tie.

In a slightly surprising move, Driskel was the backup to Davis Mills instead of Kyle Allen. As a quarterback capable of being used in a variety of situations by the Texans, Driskel presents a dual threat to a defense and was on the field for a couple of third-and-short situations, and his lone carry produced a first down. It's unclear if his activation was a stratagem specifically designed for the Colts or a permanent shift on the quarterback depth chart. Driskel is currently on the practice squad and can only be elevated three times on gamedays before needing to be signed to the active roster.

Over 11 contests (but only one start) during his six-year NFL career, Rush has been a capable game manager with a 60.3 percent completion rate (38-for-63) for 7.7 yards per attempt, three touchdowns and one interception, but he doesn't present much of a threat as a scrambler and is likely to preside over a run-heavy offense led by Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard. Rush's fantasy appeal will be limited to two-quarterback and superflex formats, and he may be only a low-end lineup option even in those formats while he's serving as Dallas' starter.

Lance had to deal with blistering winds and rain throughout the contest, so it would be unfair to project his 2022 value solely off this dud. The 13 rush attempts were a plus for fantasy owners, as part of Lance's fantasy appeal is his physical prowess as a rusher. The third-overall pick from the 2021 draft struggled with his accuracy, which was a concern even without the rough playing conditions. We should get a better idea of Lance's offseason progress in a home matchup against the Seahawks in what is currently expected to be a clear and sunny day at Levi's Stadium on Sept. 18.
