  • Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN

Steelers' Mitch Trubisky: Likely on short leash Sunday

Trubisky will start Sunday's game against the Panthers, but he could have a short leash if he struggles early on during the contest, sources tell Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Though he'll pick up his first start since Week 4 with rookie Kenny Pickett (concussion) ruled out in advance of Sunday's contest, Trubisky doesn't look as though he'll have much margin for error. After coming on in relief of the concussed Pickett in last week's 16-14 loss to the Ravens, Trubisky completed 22 of 30 pass attempts for 276 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions while also taking a sack. With Pickett sidelined in practice throughout the week, Trubisky split first-team reps Wednesday through Friday with Mason Rudolph before head coach Mike Tomlin named Trubisky the Week 15 starter following Friday's session. Rudolph has been the Steelers' third-string quarterback all season, but he'll dress as the backup Sunday and should be prepared to step in if Trubisky puts the Steelers in an early hole.

  • Kyler Murray QB | MIN

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Could recover in 6-to-8 months

Murray is believed to have suffered a "clean" ACL tear in Monday's 27-13 loss to the Patriots and is scheduled to undergo surgery along with another procedure to stitch up the meniscus in his left knee at some point between Christmas Day and New Year's Day, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

According to Rapoport, Murray will "pre-hab" for two or three weeks before surgery, with the decision to delay the procedure expected to provide ample time for the swelling in his knee to dissipate while enabling the quarterback to maintain as much flexibility as possible. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that once he has the surgery, Murray will require an estimated 6-to-8 months of recovery time. If that timeline holds, Murray should be on track to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, though he could be limited at the start of training camp and may not be available for preseason action. In the meantime, the Cardinals plan to have veteran Colt McCoy start the remaining four games of the current season, beginning with Sunday's matchup with the Broncos.

  • Josh Allen QB | BUF

Bills' Josh Allen: Four touchdowns against Miami

Allen completed 25 of 40 passes for 304 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in Saturday's 32-29 win over the Dolphins. He added 10 rushes for 77 yards.

Allen entered Saturday's game having failed to top 300 passing yards in four consecutive games, though he reached that mark on the strength of four completions of 20 yards or more. He also threw for four touchdowns in a game for the third time this season, connecting for scores from 14, 10, four and five yards away. While that combination was plenty impressive enough, Allen also ripped off several long gains on the ground -- highlighted by a 44-yard rush early in the fourth quarter. All told, it was a heroic performance from Allen, as he produced at an exceptional level in every way possible.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Modest performance in close loss

Tagovailoa completed 17 of 30 passes for 234 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Dolphins' 32-29 loss to the Bills on Saturday night. He also rushed once for seven yards and committed a fumble recovered by Miami.

Tagovailoa certainly was more efficient than in his disastrous Week 14 performance against the Chargers, but he still completed only 56.7 percent of his passes in a game that eventually saw the advent of snowy conditions. Tagovailoa's best quarter was the third, when he completed 67- and 20-yard scoring tosses to Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill, respectively. Twelve of Tagovailoa's 17 completions went to the dynamic duo, but the fact Miami couldn't muster any touchdowns during the entirety of the fourth quarter ultimately sunk its chances of offsetting Buffalo's comeback. Tagovailoa next opportunity to bounce back to his previous level of production comes in what is now an especially critical Christmas Day afternoon matchup against the Packers at home in Week 16.

  • Deshaun Watson QB | CLE

Browns' Deshaun Watson: Manages Cleveland to victory

Watson completed 18 of 28 passes for 161 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Saturday's 13-3 win over the Ravens. He added six rushes for 22 yards.

The Browns were in a positive game script for much of the contest, which allowed them to run a balanced offense. Watson wasn't asked to carry the team as a result, though he still struggled to a subpar 5.8 yards per attempt. Despite the inefficiency, he didn't turn the ball over and also managed to connect with Donovan Peoples-Jones for a three-yard touchdown late in the third quarter -- Watson's second score in three games this season. While there have been glimpses of promise in the last two weeks, Watson has also been held below 200 passing yards in two of his three starts.

  • Tyler Huntley QB | BAL

Ravens' Tyler Huntley: Struggles to move offense

Huntley completed 17 of 30 passes for 138 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's 13-3 loss to the Browns. He added six carries for 15 yards.

Huntley was unable to get the Baltimore offense moving, as he averaged only 4.6 yards per attempt. He also threw an interception deep in Cleveland's territory early in the third quarter on a drive during which the Ravens would have had the chance to at least tie the game. Huntley typically also produces plenty with his legs, though he was held in check in that regard in Saturday's loss as well. Lamar Jackson (knee) has a chance to return for a Week 16 matchup against Atlanta, which would send Huntley back to a reserve role.

  • Dolphins' Teddy Bridgewater: Won't suit up Saturday

Bridgewater (knee) is inactive for Saturday's matchup against the Bills.

Bridgewater hasn't suited up since suffering a knee injury during Miami's Week 6 loss to Minnesota. In his absence, Skylar Thompson will presumably continue operating as the primary backup behind Tua Tagovailoa.

  • Joshua Dobbs QB | NE

Lions' Joshua Dobbs: Elevated from practice squad

Dobbs was elevated to the active roster Saturday.

Dobbs will possibly suit up in his first game with Lions after signing with their practice squad two weeks ago. The former Tennessee quarterback will serve as the third-string option behind Jared Goff and Nate Sudfeld and should only see playing time if either of them were to get injured.

  • Kirk Cousins QB | LV

Vikings' Kirk Cousins: Four TDs in 33-point comeback

Cousins completed 34 of 54 passes for 460 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions in Saturday's 39-36 overtime win over the Colts.

Everything that could go wrong did for the Vikings as they fell behind 33-0 in the first half, including a Cousins pick-six. In the third quarter, Cousins connected with K.J. Osborn for a 63-yard gain and a two-yard touchdown to get Minnesota on the board with the first of three consecutive Vikings touchdown drives. Cousins capped the third of those drives with an eight-yard touchdown pass to Justin Jefferson before derailing the following possession with his second interception. The veteran quarterback bounced back with touchdown passes to Adam Thielen (one yard) and Dalvin Cook (64 yards), the latter of which Cousins followed with a two-point conversion to T.J. Hockenson to tie the score at 36-36. A field goal in the final minute of overtime capped the historic comeback (the largest in NFL history) and improved Minnesota's record to 11-3 heading into a Week 16 visit from the Giants.

  • Tyler Huntley QB | BAL

Ravens' Tyler Huntley: Set to face Cleveland

Huntley is officially listed as active for Saturday's game against the Browns.

With Lamar Jackson (knee) having previously been ruled out, Huntley -- who didn't carry an injury designation for the contest after clearing concussion protocol -- is on track to start Saturday, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com. That leaves Anthony Brown to serve as the Ravens' No. 2 QB in Week 15, with Jackson's next chance to play arriving next Saturday, when Baltimore hosts Atlanta. Huntley's ability to contribute to his team's ground game gives the dual-threat signal-caller a degree of fantasy lineup value versus Cleveland in the absence of any in-game setbacks.
