  • Mason Rudolph QB | PIT

Steelers' Mason Rudolph: Set to back up Trubisky

Rudolph is slated to back up Mitch Trubisky in Sunday's game against the Panthers, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Trubisky will get the starting nod for the Steelers on Sunday, with Kenny Pickett still in the concussion protocol. As a result, Rudolph will be active (as the team's No. 2 QB) for the first time this season.

  • Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN

Steelers' Mitch Trubisky: Confirmed as Week 15 starter

Trubisky will start Sunday's game against the Panthers.

With Kenny Pickett (concussion) downgraded to out Saturday, Trubisky has been confirmed as Sunday's starter, which sets the stage for Mason Rudolph to serve as the team's No. 2 QB versus Carolina. In that context, Trubisky -- who started the Steelers' first four games of the season -- represents a Week 15 lineup option for those in QB-heavy leagues or who are otherwise scrambling for a short-term option at the position.

  • Kenny Pickett QB | CAR

Steelers' Kenny Pickett: Won't play Sunday

Pickett (concussion) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

With Pickett unavailable, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com relays that Mitch Trubisky will start at QB for the Steelers on Sunday. Pickett will target a potential return to action in Week 16 against the Raiders.

  • Mason Rudolph QB | PIT

Steelers' Mason Rudolph: Not in line to start Sunday

With Kenny Pickett (listed as doubtful) still in the NFL's concussion protocol, Mitch Trubisky is expected to start Sunday's game against the Panthers rather than Rudolph, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Rudolph and Trubisky split practice reps this past week, but it looks as though Trubisky will get the starting nod Sunday. Assuming Pickett is inactive versus Carolina, Rudolph would be in line to suit up as Pittsburgh's No. 2 QB in Week 15.

Steelers' Mitch Trubisky: Expected to start Sunday

Trubisky is expected to start Sunday's game against the Panthers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

With Kenny Pickett listed as doubtful and still in the NFL's concussion protocol, Trubisky is expected to get the starting nod Sunday rather than Mason Rudolph, who he had been splitting practice reps with. Trubisky thus provides those scrambling for QB help in Week 15 with a lineup option, while Pickett will look to gain clearance to play in Week 16 against Las Vegas.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Could return next week

The Ravens are hopeful that Jackson (knee) will be able to practice this coming week and potentially play next weekend against the Falcons, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Jackson, whom Rapoport notes is dealing with PCL sprain, has been ruled out for this Saturday's contest against the Browns, with Tyler Huntley slated to start in his place. However, it appears as though Jackson could possibly return to action for the 9-4 Ravens in Week 16, assuming no setbacks in the coming days.

  • Mason Rudolph QB | PIT

Steelers' Mason Rudolph: Chance to start in Week 15

Coach Mike Tomlin said Friday that he'll wait until Saturday to make a decision between Rudolph and Mitch Trubisky to replace Kenny Pickett (doubtful - concussion) as the starting quarterback for Sunday's game at Carolina, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Pickett entered the concussion protocol during last Sunday's 16-14 loss to the Ravens and hasn't logged more than a limited practice this week. With the rookie signal-caller likely to be inactive this weekend, Rudolph is poised to be active himself for the first time this season. Rudolph and Trubisky split first-team reps Wednesday through Friday, so Tomlin has all the intel he needs to make a call between the two. If Rudolph ends up being the starter Sunday, he'll bring career marks of 16 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and 6.2 yards per attempt in 17 appearances (10 starts) since he was selected by Pittsburgh in the third round of the 2017 draft.

  • Mitch Trubisky QB | TEN

Steelers' Mitch Trubisky: Option to start Sunday

Coach Mike Tomlin said Friday that he'll wait until Saturday to make a decision between Trubisky and Mason Rudolph to replace Kenny Pickett (doubtful - concussion) as the starting quarterback for Sunday's game at Carolina, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Trubisky subbed in for Pickett after the latter entered the concussion protocol last Sunday against the Ravens, completing 22 of 30 passes for 276 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in a 16-14 loss. While the performance was mistake-prone, Trubisky also posted 9.2 yards per attempt on the backs of three completions of 20-plus yards. Trubisky and Rudolph split first-team reps in practice all week, so Tomlin seemingly has all the info he needs to make a call between the two, but it won't be known until some point Saturday. Whoever gets the nod will be facing the Panthers' 15th-ranked pass defense (214.7 yards per game).

  • Anthony Brown QB | BUF

Ravens' Anthony Brown: Elevated from practice squad

Brown has been elevated from the Ravens' practice squad ahead of Saturday's game against the Browns, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

With Lamar Jackson still out with a knee injury, Brown is in line to back up Tyler Huntley (who has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol) on Saturday. In relief of Huntley in Week 14 against the Steelers, Brown completed three of five passes for 16 yards and added three carries for minus-five yards.

  • Colt McCoy QB | ARI

Cardinals' Colt McCoy: Cleared to start

McCoy (neck) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Denver, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

McCoy will make his third start of the season and faces a tough defense on the road in a battle of backup quarterbacks (Brett Rypien is starting for Denver). Wideout Marquise Brown (illness) is listed as questionable but seems likely to play after returning to practice Friday.
