  • Nick Mullens QB | JAC

Nick Mullens: Let go by Jaguars

Jacksonville cut Mullens on Sunday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Mullens appeared set to work as Trevor Lawrence's backup this season, but that changed when the Jaguars traded with Miami for Quinn Ewers on Saturday. Mullens has extensive NFL experience -- including 20 career regular-season starts -- so he could be an attractive option for another team looking to fill out its QB room with a veteran signal-caller.

  • Kyle McCord QB | MIA

Dolphins' Kyle McCord: Moving to Miami

Green Bay traded McCord to the Dolphins on Sunday in exchange for a 2028 sixth-round draft pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

McCord had a strong preseason with the Packers, completing 65.7 percent of his 70 passes for 446 yards with a 4:0 TD:INT over three games. However, Green Bay already has a reliable backup to Jordan Love in veteran Tyrod Taylor, so the organization opted to get something back for McCord rather than risk losing him on waivers. Now that he's with Miami, McCord will fill the team's No. 2 QB role behind Malik Willis after the Dolphins traded Quinn Ewers to Jacksonville on Saturday and waived both Cam Miller and Mark Gronowski early Sunday. That puts McCord in a better position to make an impact in fantasy, though his opportunity for playing time is entirely dependent on Willis' health and performance.

  • Cam Miller QB | MIA

    Cam Miller: Cut by Dolphins

Miller was waived by the Dolphins on Sunday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Miller was drafted by the Raiders in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. However, he eventually was signed by the Dolphins from Las Vegas' practice squad in January 2026. Miller could draw interest from a few teams looking for depth, though he isn't expected to suit up for a regular-season game anytime soon. The 25-year-old spent his collegiate career at North Dakota State, most recently throwing for 3,251 yards, 33 touchdowns and four interceptions in 2024. He also had 145 carries for 631 yards and 12 touchdowns on the run.

  • Jake Browning QB | LAC

    Jake Browning: Cut by Buccaneers

Browning has been cut by Tampa Bay, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

After signing with Tampa Bay in March, Browning had been expected to back up Baker Mayfield and recently returned to practice after a back injury. Browning had a quiet preseason, completing 10 of 15 passes for 86 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. Browning's release means Tampa Bay will move forward with undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels as the team's No. 2 QB behind Mayfield.

  • Buccaneers' Jalon Daniels: Wins backup QB job

Daniels is moving forward as Tampa Bay's backup quarterback behind Baker Mayfield after impressing throughout training camp, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

After entering camp as an undrafted rookie in a crowded quarterback room, Daniels appears to have climbed into the No. 2 role behind Mayfield. The decision gives him clear roster security and places him next in line if Tampa Bay needs a backup to step into game action. Daniels won the job after a strong preseason during which he completed 27 of 44 passes for 239 yards and a touchdown without being picked off.

  • Adrian Martinez: Unable to make roster cut

The 49ers waived Martinez on Saturday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Martinez spent most of last season on San Francisco's practice squad and appeared in one regular-season contest, taking one snap on a kneel-down. He then signed a reserve/future contract in January and entered training camp looking to secure the team's No. 3 QB role, but that now appears set to go to Kurtis Rourke (ribs). Martinez saw plenty of action during the preseason slate but didn't help his cause, as he completed only 36 of 68 pass attempts for 346 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions while rushing three times for eight yards.

  • Bailey Zappe QB | NYJ

Bailey Zappe: Let go by Jets

The Jets cut Zappe on Saturday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Zappe signed with New York on a reserve/future contract in January and entered training camp with a legitimate shot to win the No. 2 QB job. However, he struggled during preseason play, completing just 14 of 23 passes for 135 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. Zappe's departure means that either Cade Klubnik or Brady Cook will serve as Geno Smith's backup when the regular season kicks off.

  • Jacob Clark QB | LV

Jacob Clark: Gets waived by Raiders

The Raiders are waiving Clark, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

In his sole appearance of the preseason, the undrafted rookie completed one of two passes for 18 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions. In a QB room that also rosters 2026 first overall pick Fernando Mendoza and veterans Kirk Cousins and Aidan O'Connell, Clark would be hard-pressed to end up on the active roster this season even if he finds a spot on Las Vegas' practice squad.

  • Hunter Dekkers: Dumped by New Orleans

The Saints waived Dekkers on Saturday.

New Orleans inked Dekkers as an undrafted rookie last offseason, but the team has cut him six times since then, including this current transaction. He'll be free to sign elsewhere if he clears waivers.

  • Will Levis QB | TEN

Titans' Will Levis: Solid showing to close preseason

Levis went 14-for-22 for 143 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, rushed twice for one yard and fumbled once but recovered in the Titans' 24-15 preseason loss to the Bears on Saturday.

Levis drew the start and played the entire first half, leading the Titans to nine points in that span via three field goals with the help of a pair of double-digit-play drives. The 2023 second-round pick finished the preseason having completed 21 of 39 pass attempts for 200 yards without any touchdowns or interceptions, adding 10 carries for 38 yards. With Mitchell Trubisky sidelined with a biceps injury Saturday, Levis seemingly took advantage of his extended opportunity, but it remains to be seen whether it was enough to secure him the No. 2 quarterback job behind Cam Ward.
