  • Derek Carr QB | NO

Saints' Derek Carr: No-go on practice estimate

Carr (oblique) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report.

Carr's projected lack of activity to begin Week 7 prep comes as no surprise considering he's expected to miss multiple games due to a strained oblique that he picked up in Week 5. Rookie Spencer Rattler filled in for Carr under center during Sunday's 51-27 loss to the Buccaneers, completing 22 of 40 passes for 243 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions while taking four carries for 27 yards. Carr's is trending toward being ruled out for Thursday's contest against the Broncos, but the Saints haven't made the call yet.

  • Rams' Matthew Stafford: Back no longer bothersome

Coach Sean McVay said Monday that Stafford (back) is "doing great, and he's not going to miss any time," Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Stafford was dealing with back soreness after the 24-19 Week 5 loss to the Packers, but a well-timed Week 6 bye provided ample time for the veteran quarterback to recover. While Stafford will be available for Sunday's game against the Raiders, the Rams are expected to remain without wide receiver Puka Nacua (knee), while the status of wide receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle) still is up in the air.

  • Colts' Anthony Richardson: Will start Week 7, barring setback

Colts head coach Shane Steichen said Monday that Richardson (oblique) will start Sunday's game against the Dolphins, barring a setback, George Bremer of The Herald Bulletin reports.

Richardson was close to playing in this past Sunday's win over the Titans but ultimately sat out while Joe Flacco received a second consecutive start. Flacco has posted a 7:1 TD:INT in less than three full games while filling in for Richardson, but there's no quarterback controversy in Indianapolis, and the starting job will be Richardson's once he's healthy enough to take it. If Richardson is able to practice without limitations during the week, he could avoid carrying an injury designation into the game against Miami.

  • Cooper Rush QB | BAL

Cowboys' Cooper Rush: Sees work in relief

Rush completed eight of 11 passes for 46 yards with an interception in Sunday's loss to the Lions.

Dak Prescott got most of the fourth quarter off in a blowout loss, allowing Rush to see his most extensive action of the season so far. The 30-year-old continues to be active ahead of Trey Lance as the Cowboys' No. 2 QB, and Rush would presumably be the pick to move into the starting lineup should anything happen to Prescott.

  • Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL

Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Should play again this season

Tagovailoa (concussion) is expected to play again during the 2024 season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Tagovailoa remains on injured reserve and won't be eligible to practice prior to Oct. 23, though it's possible his recovery will take longer than that. Tyler Huntley started the two games prior to Miami's Week 6 bye and is expected to remain under center Sunday against the Colts.

  • Joe Burrow QB | CIN

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Makes difference as rusher

Burrow completed 19 of 28 pass attempts for 208 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 17-7 win over the Giants. He added four rushes for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Burrow got off to a hot start in an unconventional way, as he scrambled for a 47-yard touchdown on the Bengals' opening drive. The quarterback wasn't as impressive as a passer, as Burrow was consistently under pressure and struggled to sustain long drives. Entering the contest, he had multiple touchdowns in four straight games while topping 300 passing yards twice in his last three matchups, so there's no reason to panic over the lackluster showing Sunday night.

  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Giants' Daniel Jones: No touchdowns in defeat

Jones completed 22 of 41 pass attempts for 205 yards, no touchdowns and an interception while rushing 11 times for 56 yards in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Bengals.

Jones was stymied by a bottom-third defense at home in a rare game that featured no passing touchdowns for either side. This was the Giants' franchise quarterback's third game this season in which he has produced zero total touchdowns while throwing at least one interception. We are just six weeks into the fantasy season, so that rate of incompetence is not a great sign if you're relying on Jones as a starter in fantasy this year. Consider the 27-year-old a middling option for next Sunday's contest against Philadelphia.

  • Raiders' Aidan O'Connell: Mediocre in first start of 2024

O'Connell completed 27 of 40 passes for 227 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 32-13 loss to the Steelers.

O'Connell took over as the Raiders' starting quarterback and faced a tough test against the Pittsburgh defense. He got off to a hot start by leading Las Vegas to a touchdown on the team's opening possession, and he went 4-for-4 for 45 yards while working primarily in short areas of the field. While O'Connell remained accurate throughout the game, he was hesitant to push the ball downfield and had only one completion of more than 20 yards. Assuming he stays under center in Week 7 against the Rams, O'Connell could be a bit more aggressive, though expectations should remain in check.

  • Steelers' Justin Fields: Saves day with two rushing scores

Fields completed 14 of 24 passes for 145 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions in Sunday's 32-13 win over the Raiders. He carried 11 times for 59 yards and two scores.

Fields had another ugly day through the air, as he averaged 6.0 yards per attempt or fewer for the third time in six games and for the second consecutive matchup. He did manage two completions of at least 20 yards, with his longest completion going to George Pickens for 31 yards late in the fourth quarter. While he was plagued by a couple of drops from Pickens during the contest, Fields also had an interception wiped off the board by a roughing the passer call just before halftime. Regardless of the assessment of his work as a passer, Fields got things done from a fantasy perspective thanks to his work on the ground -- highlighted by scores of three and seven yards. There will likely be ongoing speculation about Fields' status as the starter in Pittsburgh now that Russell Wilson is healthy, though it's difficult to imagine the Steelers making a change while having a 4-2 record and being tied for first in the AFC North.

  • Dak Prescott QB | DAL

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Pulled late in blowout loss

Prescott completed 17 of 33 passes for 178 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 47-9 loss to the Lions. He added one rush for one yard.

Prescott got off to a decent start, leading the Cowboys to a nine-play, 54-yard drive that resulted in a field goal on the team's opening possession. He went 4-for-6 for 46 yards -- and also had a pick called back for defensive holding -- but that was the highlight of his game. From there, he completed only 13 of 27 passes while averaging 4.9 yards per attempt with a pair of interceptions that led directly to 10 points for the Lions. Given the state of the game, Prescott sat most of the fourth quarter and failed to throw a touchdown for the first time this season. The Cowboys will get a well-timed bye in Week 7.
