Ryan Nassib QB | JAC
Giants' Ryan Nassib: Won't be available as backup
Nassib (elbow) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Eagles, Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.TV reports.
Nassib has been dealing with elbow soreness, and after being unable to participate in pregame warmups, the team will make him inactive for the afternoon matchup. As a result, Josh Johnson, who hasn't completed a pass since 2011, will step into the backup quarterback role.

Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Turns in best week of practice since suffering injuries
Wilson was "really at his best" this week in practice, according to coach Pete Carroll, as he continues to recover from ankle, knee and pectoral injuries, the Seattle Times reports.
Wilson's high-ankle sprain seems to be nearly recovered (he did not wrap it for last week's game), and he'll wear a smaller, lighter knee brace this week, which could help his mobility. Carroll said "there's no question" Wilson significantly improved in practice this week, though his optimism should be taken with a grain of salt. Until Wilson is healthy, the Seahawks offense likely will continue to struggle.

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Downplays knee injury
Winston downplayed the knee injury he suffered during Thursday's game against the Falcons, saying afterward, "I feel great," ESPN's Jenna Laine reports.
Winston was forced out midway through the fourth quarter Thursday and did not return, but he didn't appear to be hindered by any ailment while walking off the field. Despite coach Dirk Koetter's decision to keep him sidelined following his exit, Winston reportedly told the coaching staff that he was fine, which echoes his postgame comments. While Tampa Bay's relatively extended layoff before its Week 10 contest should now afford Winston some extra rest and treatment, a more definitive update on his condition should surface before long.

Jameis Winston QB | NYG
Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Throws for three touchdowns before exiting with knee injury
Winston (knee) completed 23 of 37 passes for 261 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in Thursday's 43-28 loss to the Falcons. He also gained 14 yards on two rushes and lost a fumble, before exiting midway the fourth quarter due to a knee injury sustained on a two-point conversion rushing attempt.
Winston performed reasonably well despite having to play catch-up throughout the second half, which also led to him puting up his highest number of pass attempts since Week 3. Despite the Bucs' collection of problems, particularly at home, Winston actually has a 9:1 TD:INT ratio over the four games following a forgettable 179-yard, two-interception performance against the Broncos in Week 4. He also reportedly told head coach Dirk Koetter that his knee is fine following the game, although the team's medical staff will naturally provide the final word on that front. Mike Glennon, who hadn't taken a regular-season snap since 2014, completed 10 of 11 passes for 75 yards and a touchdown in mop-up duty for Winston. The 2015 first overall pick's status will likely be updated at some point on Friday, and if the ailment is indeed minor, the team's 10-day layoff before a Week 10 tilt against the Bears could provide enough recovery time for him to suit up for that contest.

Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Questionable to return
Winston is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Falcons after suffering a knee injury.
Winston sustained the injury taking a hit on a two-point conversion attempt. He was then seen standing on the sideline after being evaluated by the training staff. A return seems unlikely given the game situation.

Russell Wilson QB | NYG
Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Completes full practice Wednesday
Wilson (knee/pectoral) completed a full practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Wilson has consistently landed on the injury report this season, but even if he's able to handle every rep in a given practice, his mobility has been lacking on game day. The development has had a trickle-down effect on his game logs and those of the skill-position players within Seattle's offense. In particular, he hasn't recorded a touchdown in three consecutive games and is averaging just a career-worst 1.8 YPC.

Sam Bradford QB | MIN
Vikings' Sam Bradford: Sacked five times Monday
Bradford completed 23 of 37 passes for 228 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's loss to the Bears.
Bradford was sacked five times Monday night, when he and the Vikings' offense could get much going altogether. Minnesota didn't score its lone touchdown until the fourth quarter, but Bradford's 25-yard toss to wideout Stefon Diggs at least provided a late boost to both players' outputs. Also, unlike last week's three turnovers, Bradford played a clean game Monday, avoiding any fantasy deductions. After starting the season so well, Bradford and the Vikings have sputtered in the two games following their bye week, something they'll aim to correct in Sunday's home game against the Lions.

Teddy Bridgewater QB | DET
Vikings' Teddy Bridgewater: Walking without crutches
Vikings athletic trainer Eric Sugarman said Bridgewater (knee) is now walking without crutches, ESPN.com's Ben Goessling reports.
Sugarman said the quarterback is making good progress, regaining range of motion and strength in his surgically repaired left knee. Bridgewater still has a brace and is only eight weeks into a lengthy process, but it sounds as if he's right on schedule so far. The goal is to have him ready for Week 1 next season.

Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Will likely start in Week 9
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he expects Prescott to start next week's game against the Browns following Sunday night's dramatic OT win over the Eagles, The Dallas Morning News reports.
Jones couched the decision as based on Tony Romo's health, rather than the rookie's six-game winning streak. "My opinion is that we would want him to have more strength work done," Jones said of Romo. "He's really doing well. Probably as well as at any time last year as far as strength in his back is concerned. But he's got some more work to do." Nonetheless, if Prescott keeps producing wins, it'll become harder and harder for the front office or coaching staff to justify taking him out of the lineup.

Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Accounts for three scores in OT win
Prescott completed 19 of 39 passes for 287 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, adding seven carries for 38 yards and another score in Sunday's 29-23 overtime win over the Eagles.
Prescott wasn't quite as sharp as he has been for most of the season, and yet his mixture of big plays and late-game heroics still more than made up for some missed throws. He benefited from the long-awaited return of Dez Bryant, who had four catches for 113 yards and a touchdown, though he needed 14 targets to get there. All in all, this was yet another performance that should work in Prescott's favor, but it's still unclear just how long he'll keep the starting job. The Cowboys may want to see how both Prescott and Tony Romo (collarbone) look in practice ahead of a Week 9 contest in Cleveland.
