Though Siemian will start Sunday's season finale against the Raiders, fellow QB Paxton Lynch is also in line to play in the contest, 9NEWS.com reports.

The 8-7 Broncos are eliminated from playoff contention, setting the stage for the team to get one last look at both signal-callers before heading into the offseason. With an uncertain amount of work on tap Sunday, Siemian is a risky roll in Week 17, even in the deepest of fantasy formats.

Prescott is unlikely to play the entirety of Sunday's game in Philadelphia, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports.

In such a reality, the backup quarterback in most climes would take over for the starter, but the Cowboys' QB situation is a unique one due to the presence of long-time No. 1 option Tony Romo. Instead of giving Romo some valuable reps, the organization is operating under a plan in which third QB Mark Sanchez will be active in Week 17, placing a fog over who will spell Prescott upon his removal. No matter how much run he receives, Prescott has steadied himself over the last two contests, completing 47 of 56 passes for 491 yards, three touchdowns, and no turnovers. In addition to his mistake-free play, he's tacked on eight rushes for 55 yards and one touchdown.

The Titans placed Mariota (lower leg) on injured reserve Tuesday, The Tennessean reports.

Due to the season-ending nature of the broken fibula in Mariota's right leg, this is merely a housekeeping move from the Titans' perspective. Mariota is scheduled for surgery to repair the concern Wednesday, during which a plate will be placed on the afflicted bone in order to provide stability moving forward. His subsequent 4-to-5 month recovery timetable places him on the path to participate in at least a portion of OTAs, as hoped for by head coach Mike Mularkey. With Mariota out of consideration for Sunday's regular season finale against the Texans, Matt Cassel will be under center, with the recently promoted Alex Tanney handling backup duties.

Carr underwent surgery on his broken right fibula Tuesday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.

As expected, the procedure has been completed, but the prospect of a 6-to-8 recovery timetable has inspired thoughts that Carr could be available for the Super Bowl, if the Raiders were to reach the season-capping contest in Houston under the direction of quarterback Matt McGloin. Optimistic parties should put those thoughts to bed, though. Per a discussion between Dr. Nick Grosso, president of The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics, and the Bay Area News Group, the notion Carr may be ready for game action in six weeks is untenable. "There will be six to eight weeks minimum for healing and [the] Super Bowl will be over by then," Grosso said. After that initial period, Carr will still need "an additional four to six weeks before he can play again because even once the bone has healed the soft tissue around it also needs to be adapt and remodel itself. But he could be training and even throwing again in three months." With that knowledge, Carr is a great candidate to take part in the entire offseason program, just not Super Bowl LI.

Head coach Gary Kubiak is considering playing Lynch in the Broncos' Week 17 matchup against Oakland, 9NEWS reports.

Starting QB Trevor Siemian -- while certainly not as big a problem as the Broncos' woeful offensive line -- has run hot, cold, and mostly lukewarm all season. For his part, Lynch has yet to deliver on his first-round promise or even the solid outing he had against Tampa Bay in Week 4, posting a 79.2 rating through 10 quarters of action. Giving the 2016 first-round pick a hard look in Week 17 makes a ton of sense, however. The offseason will almost certainly be full of Tony Romo and Tyrod Taylor rumors as the Broncos seek to build an offense half as good as their formidable defense. Seeing how close Lynch is to being the answer against a playoff-bound Raiders squad still competing for a division crown should serve as a measuring stick for how Denver picks up the pieces.

Taylor isn't expected to start Sunday's season finale against the Jets in New York, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Taylor's likely benching was spurred on by a number of factors. Chief among them was Tuesday's axing of head coach Rex Ryan, who was a vocal supporter of Taylor's throughout his nearly two years in the gig. Moreover, there are financial considerations tied to Taylor's health. If Taylor suffers a debilitating injury, the Bills could be on the hook for the $30.75 million remaining on his deal signed in August of this year. As a result, interim head coach Anthony Lynn is poised to place the onus of the offensive attack on EJ Manuel's shoulders in Week 17.

Prescott completed 15 of 20 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns in Monday's 42-21 win over the Lions. He also carried four times for an additional 35 yards.

The beat rolls on for the impressive rookie, who completed 75 percent of his attempts while connecting for a score with Bryce Butler and two more with Dez Bryant. Prescott accounted for multiple touchdowns without a turnover for the seventh time this season and now boasts a TD:INT ratio of 23:4. The team's brass has insisted that the starters will continue to play despite already locking up home field advantage in the postseason, so Prescott should be in line for another quality outing in Week 17 against the Eagles.

Stafford completed 26 of 46 passes for 260 yards with one interception Monday night against the Cowboys. He also scored on a one-yard tote.

Stafford, who boasts a 1:4 TD-to-interception ratio across his past three games, has ended the season in disappointing fashion. His 63.7 passer rating Monday night was almost rock bottom as the figure represents Stafford's second-lowest mark of the season. However, he has a solid chance to end the season on a high note in a regular season finale against a Packers secondary that has allowed a league-worst 8.0 YPA to quarterbacks in 2016. Look for Stafford to come out firing, as the game decides the NFC North champion.

Wilson finished 29-of-45 passing for a career-high 350 yards and four touchdowns Saturday in a loss to the Cardinals. He also rushed 10 times for 36 yards.

Wilson's 45 attempts were also a career high. He struggled in the first half behind an offensive line that gave up six sacks in the game. But the line held better in the second half, allowing Wilson to throw three TD passes, including the game-tying touchdown with a minute to play. He missed a couple open receivers for big plays, but he seemed to have better touch on his passes than he had in recent weeks.

The Jets placed Petty on injured reserve Monday due to a torn labrum in his left shoulder, Eric Allen of the team's official site reports.

In the process of tackling Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler following a second-quarter interception Saturday, Petty sustained the ailment and didn't return. After the game, Petty told Andy Vasquez of The Record that he felt the shoulder pop out for a short time before popping back in. With the severity of the issue confirmed, Petty will likely hand off quarterback duties to Ryan Fitzpatrick, though Christian Hackenburg may also get a look with only the future to play for in Florham Park, NJ.
