Blough is expected to remain the starter until the return of Matthew Stafford (back) after backup Jeff Driskel (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Blough was surprisingly stout in his professional debut Thursday, carving through the Bears' defense and keeping the contest close throughout. The 24-year-old looks to be in line for more starts along the way, as Matthew Stafford doesn't seem close to a return (back) and former backup Jeff Driskel is on injured reserve, so Blough should be in line to take on the Vikings in Week 14.

While Driskel was technically active for Thursday's Thanksgiving Day loss to the Bears, it certainly didn't seem as if the backup quarterback was healthy enough to compete, so Saturday's roster designation shouldn't come as much of a surprise. The Lions have not placed Matthew Stafford on injured reserve despite multiple fractures in his back, but considering their dismal record it's entirely possible the team decides to play it incredibly cautious with its franchise signal caller. David Blough, the team's third-string option and Thursday's starter, looked solid in his professional debut and figures to continue reprising the role until Stafford is deemed healthy enough to compete, though Detroit did sign Kyle Sloter as an insurance policy off the Cardinals' practice squad.

Lock (thumb) has officially been activated off injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers, but it remains unclear who will start under center between him and Brandon Allen, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Although no official starting quarterback has been announced, Lock is considered the favorite to get the opportunity. The rookie took first-string reps at practice throughout the week, which indicates the Broncos are going to see what they have in their second-round pick. Both Joe Flacco (neck) and Allen struggled to get the offense moving this year, so we may have an opportunity to see if Lock has the key to jump-start it.

Murray was added to Friday's injury report with a hamstring issue, Mike Jurecki of the Cardinals' official site report. He's listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams.

Murray's ability to maintain full practice participation Friday suggests the injury isn't too serious, but the timing nonetheless creates some concern. A 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff is suboptimal for fantasy managers, limiting the available alternatives if Murray does end up as a game-time decision. Brett Hundley is the backup quarterback in Arizona.

The Broncos will "definitely" activate Lock (thumb) from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Chargers, but Denver has yet to decide whether the rookie or Brandon Allen will start at quarterback in Week 13, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.

Newman notes that Denver is expected to choose a starter late Friday or at some point Saturday, but Lock looks like the overwhelming favorite to garner the nod. According to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic, Lock took the first rep at every practice Wednesday through Friday, signaling that he's likely jumped ahead of Allen in the pecking order. Allen generally struggled to move the offense in his three starts following Joe Flacco's (neck) placement on injured reserve, completing just 46.4 percent of his throws for 6.1 yards per attempt and a 3:2 TD:INT.

Per James Palmer of NFL Network, the Broncos increased Lock's reps to "about 75 percent of the offensive snaps in practice this week," an arrangement that points to Denver turning to the 2019 second-round pick over Brandon Allen in Week 13. Coach Vic Fangio may not name starter before Sunday in order to keep the Chargers guessing, but at this stage, it would be a surprise if Lock doesn't take over for Allen this weekend.

Prescott completed 32 of 49 passes for 355 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Thursday's 26-15 loss to the Bills.

He also gained 25 rushing yards on four carries and completed a two-point conversion to Jason Witten. While the quarterback's final line looks just fine from a fantasy perspective, he struggled for much of the game in the face of a ferocious Buffalo pass rush that sacked him four times and forced two fumbles, one of which Dallas lost. Prescott will try to turn things around for the reeling Cowboys next week on the road against the Bears.

Allen completed 19 of 24 passes for 231 yards and a touchdown while gaining 43 rushing yards and another TD on 10 carries in Thursday's 26-15 win over the Cowboys.

With the Bills' defense keeping Dak Prescott in check, Allen was able to settle in and get comfortable, and he set season highs in completion percentage and YPA while scampering for his eighth rushing score of the year. Since Buffalo's Week 6 bye, Allen has turned a corner as a passer and posted a sharp 11:1 TD:INT through seven games, giving him plenty of momentum heading into next week's clash with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.

Blough completed 22 of 38 passes for 280 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Thursday's 24-20 loss to the Bears. He also rushed once for one yard.

The injury to Jeff Driskel (hamstring) appears to have been a blessing in disguise for the Lions on Thanksgiving Day, as Detroit may have just found its long-term backup quarterback in Blough. Making his professional regular-season debut after going undrafted out of Purdue in 2018, Blough was ready for the moment and put the Lions on top early with a 75-yard touchdown to Kenny Golladay on the opening drive. He admittedly cooled off in the second and third quarters, but Blough nearly positioned Detroit for a game-winning touchdown had Danny Amendola been able to bring in a nearly perfect over-the-shoulder pass during the closing seconds of the game. Despite the loss, the Lions must be delighted with Blough's performance and it seems unlikely the team will go back to Driskel for next weekend's game in Minnesota, should Matthew Stafford (back) remain sidelined.

Trubisky completed 29 of 38 passes for 338 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in the Bears' 24-20 win over the Lions on Thursday. He also rushed four times for four yards.

Trubisky racked up a season-best yardage total and was especially sharp in the second half, during which he accumulated 192 of his yards and threw only two incompletions. The often-embattled third-year quarterback was able to capitalize on the Lions' season-long weaknesses defending the pass and connected with Allen Robinson, Jesper Horsted and David Montgomery for his trio of scoring tosses, the latter coming with just 2:17 remaining and capping off a clutch nine-play, 90-yard game-winning march. Trubisky eclipsed the season-high 278 yards he'd just posted four days prior with his spectacular performance, making the last pair of contests his most productive two-game stretch of the season by far. He'll look to continue building momentum as the Bears try to keep postseason their hopes alive in a Week 14 Thursday night home matchup versus the Cowboys.
