Coach Pete Carroll said Monday he expects Wilson to remain the Seahawks' starting quarterback in the 2022 campaign, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Carroll responded, "[Wilson's] our quarterback," when asked about the standout veteran's future in Seattle. Of course, the Seahawks will have ample time to mull over any personnel decisions during the upcoming offseason, and there's plenty of precedence that says coach's comments in early January shouldn't exactly be considered a guarantee. A serious finger injury caused Wilson to miss three contests during the 2021 campaign, and upon returning he logged a seven-game slump with only an 8:4 TD:INT. However, Wilson looked more like himself during the final two games of the season, when he posted eight total touchdowns and just one interception.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said Monday, after the firing of coach Brian Flores, that a decision on whether or not to stick with Tagovailoa under center will be up to the next coaching staff, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.

Ross said he "has a lot of confidence" in Tagovailoa, per Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network, but he also noted that it will be up to the next head coach to make a decision about the Dolphins' starting quarterback for 2022. When asked, Ross said he currently has "no plans" to pursue Deshaun Watson this offseason, per Safid Deen of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, but the fact that non-commmital langauge is being used to describe Tagovailoa's job security after a coaching change would seem to speak volumes. Prior to the 2021 in-season trade deadline, Miami reportedly pursued a potential deal involving Watson. Meanwhile, Tagovailoa finished with an uninspiring 17:10 TD:INT and 2,762 passing yards across 14 appearances in his sophomore season, and he only reached the 300-yard mark through the air on one occasion. That said, he did showcase solid chemistry with rookie first-round pick Jaylen Waddle, and battled through both rib injuries and unreliable O-line play.

Tagovailoa completed 15 of 22 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown and gained 38 rushing yards on five carries in Sunday's 33-24 win over the Patriots.

Aside from a seven-yard TD strike to Jaylen Waddle in the first quarter, Tagovailoa didn't contribute much to the Dolphins' victory, instead allowing Duke Johnson and the defense to do most of the heavy lifting. The second-year QB failed to reach 200 passing yards in three of his last four games this season, wrapping up the campaign with a sharp 67.8 percent completion rate but far more pedestrian 17:10 TD:INT and 2,762 passing yards through 14 games, and Tua may not have done enough to dissuade the Dolphins from bringing in competition, or even an outright replacement for him, this offseason.

Carr completed 20 of 36 pass attempts for 186 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 35-32 win over the Chargers.

It wasn't Carr's finest performance, but he made the necessary throws on the back of a strong rushing performance by Josh Jacobs (26-132-1) to secure the win and a playoff berth for the Raiders. It was a voluminous regular season for the veteran, as he set new career highs in completions (428) and passing yards (4,804). The 30-year-old's 23:19 TD:TO ratio is what held him back from truly taking that next step in fantasy circles. Carr may be asked to shoulder more of the offensive load in a playoff matchup against the high-powered Bengals next week.

Jones completed 20 of 30 passes for 261 yards and a touchdown with an interception in Sunday's 33-24 loss to the Dolphins.

The rookie had a shaky start to the game, tossing a pick-six to Xavien Howard midway through the first quarter, but Jones shook it off and rallied his team from an early 14-point deficit to get the Patriots within a field goal late in the fourth before the Dolphins scored on a fumble return on New England's final possession. Jones wraps up an impressive rookie campaign with a 67.6 percent completion rate, 22:13 TD:INT and 3,801 passing yards, and he'll lead the Pats into the wild-card round as they face AFC East rivals the Bills on Saturday.

Allen completed 24 of 45 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns while gaining 63 rushing yards on five carries in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Jets.

The Bills had trouble putting the game away until the fourth quarter, when Allen led his team to two touchdown drives. The victory locked up a second straight AFC East title for Buffalo, and Allen finishes the regular season with a 36:15 TD:INT and 4,407 passing yards -- numbers just shy of his production through the air last season despite playing one more game -- and a career-high 763 rushing yards. The Bills will host the arch-rival Patriots next Saturday in the wild-card round.

Herbert completed 34 of 64 pass attempts for 383 yards and three touchdowns to go along with one interception in Sunday's 35-32 overtime loss to the Raiders.

Herbert obliterated his previous career high in pass attempts (53) as the Chargers stormed back from a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter to ultimately force overtime. While the second-year quarterback's critics will point to the signal caller's inability to win important games, it's hard to be anything but impressed with what Herbert's been able to do on the field. The penultimate 19-play, 83-yard drive that ultimately tied the game on an absolute laser to Mike Williams is a perfect example of the burgeoning star's capabilities. It's hard to imagine how Herbert could have outperformed his sterling rookie season, but with 5,014 passing yards and a ridiculous 38:15 TD:INT it's clear Herbert is among the best quarterbacks in the game and likely will be one of the top selected in fantasy come next season.

Siemian completed nine of 15 passes for 71 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 30-20 win over the Falcons.

Siemian was forced into the game after Taysom Hill (foot) exited with a foot injury in the first half. The Saints relied heavily on Alvin Kamara and the run game, though Siemian was effective when called upon. He led the offense to the end zone twice, throwing for scores from 13 and five yards away. After serving as the backup and making spot starts in New Orleans for the 2021 season, Siemian will hit free agency this offseason and will likely look for another backup role around the league.

Wilson completed seven of 20 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown and gained 24 yards on two carries in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Bills.

It was an awful end to Wilson's rookie season, as aside from a 40-yard TD toss to Keelan Cole in the second quarter, the QB had almost no success through the air. He finishes with a poor 9:11 TD:INT, 2,334 passing yards and a 55.6 percent completion rate over 13 games, but the Jets will continue to build around Wilson this offseason and hope he can take a very large step forward in 2022.

Garoppolo (thumb) completed 23 of 32 pass attempts for 316 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Rams.

Garoppolo seemed like a longshot to suit up after tearing a ligament in the thumb of his throwing hand just two weeks ago. Head coach Kyle Shanahan rolled his starter back out there in a must-win scenario, and while it was rocky at times, the end result was an overtime win on the back of multiple clutch drives from Jimmy G and the rest of the offense. The polarizing quarterback finishes with solid results of 3,810 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions on 69 percent passing while chipping in three rushing scores. Trey Lance may be the future for the 49ers, but it appears to be all systems go for Garoppolo against the Cowboys in next week's playoff matchup.
