Rams' Matt Gay: Doesn't miss in Super Bowl victory

Gay connected on his only field-goal attempt and both of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 23-20 win over the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.

Gay's only field goal was a 41-yard kick to cut the Bengals' lead to 20-16 halfway through the third quarter. While the 28-year-old kicker was perfect on the night, the kicking unit was not, as holder Johnny Hekker fumbled a snap during an extra-point attempt after the Rams' second touchdown of the game. On the season, Gay connected on 32 of his 34 field goals and 48 of his 49 PATs en route to the best campaign of his three-year career. He's set to be a restricted free agent this offseason, but the Rams likely want him back in 2022.

  • Tyler Bass K | BUF

Bills' Tyler Bass: Big numbers in second season

Bass finished the 2021 season with 135 points, converting on 28 of 32 field-goal attempts and all 51 of his extra-point tries.

Missing only four of 83 kicks is pretty amazing considering the conditions Bass faces in Buffalo, and he's proven to be worth a rare draft selection as a placekicker -- he was chosen in the sixth round of the 2020 Draft. The point total landed Bass in a tie for sixth in the league, and there's little reason to suspect he won't be a top-10 guy again next season given the high-powered offense supporting him, one with an elite quarterback that isn't going anywhere for the next several seasons.

  • Matt Gay K | LV

Rams' Matt Gay: Paves way to Super Bowl

Gay connected on two of his three field-goal kicks and both of his extra-point attempts during Sunday's 20-17 win over the 49ers in their NFC Championship Game.

The 54-yard missed field goal in the second quarter was the lone blemish of the night for Gay, as he bounced back and connected on the tying and go-ahead field goals in the fourth quarter. Look for the second-year Ram to have another solid showing in the Super Bowl against Cincinnati.

  • Nick Folk K | ATL

Patriots' Nick Folk: Records 150 points in 2021

Folk made 36 of his 39 field-goal attempts and 42 of 47 extra-point attempts during the 2021 regular season, totaling 150 points over 17 games.

Folk, who has been in the NFL since 2007, easily eclipsed his previous career high in points (131) through his first 16 games in 2021, then added six more in the team's regular-season finale to tie Las Vegas' Daniel Carlson for the league lead in that category. The 37-year-old, who managed a left knee issue down the stretch, is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. His strong campaign should land him a kicking job in 2022, though it's unclear if New England inteds to bring him back. Quinn Nordin -- who recently signed a future contract with New England -- would be an option if Folk isn't re-signed.

  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Accuracy dips in 2021

    Fairbairn converted 15 of 19 field-goal attempts and 13 of 16 extra-point tries across 13 games in 2021.

Fairbairn posted less than an 80 percent field-goal conversion rate for the first time in his career during the 2021 campaign, but with just 19 total attempts, a small sample size should be noted. The Texans have an option to exercise a potential 'out' in Fairbairn's contract this offseason, which would leave the team with only $1.5 million in dead cap.

  • Matt Gay K | LV

Rams' Matt Gay: More of the same in win over Bucs

Gay connected on three of his four field-goal kicks and all three extra-point attempts during Sunday's 30-27 win over Tampa Bay.

It was another solid fantasy showing for Gay, and he remains a solid option in all formats moving forward. Looking ahead to the 2022 season, Gay projects to remain one of the more reliable kicking options.

  • Matt Prater K | BUF

Cardinals' Matt Prater: Finishes sixth in scoring average

Prater struck true on 30 of 37 field-goal attempts and 47 of 49 point-after tries in 17 contests during the 2021 season.

The Cardinals finished with the 11th-ranked scoring offense at 26.4 points per game, but Prater himself ended up in a tie for sixth among kickers that made at least 16 appearances with the Ravens' Justin Tucker at 8.1 points per game. Arizona has a number of key skill players set to become unrestricted free agents in March -- RBs James Conner and Chase Edmonds, WRs A.J. Green and Christian Kirk and TEs Zach Ertz and Maxx Williams -- but being attached to a Kyler Murray-led offense should continue to be beneficial for Prater, who is locked up for $4.5 million in 2022.

  • Matt Gay K | LV

Rams' Matt Gay: Busy in win over Cards

Gay connected on two field-goal kicks and four extra-point attempts during Monday's 34-11 wild-card round victory over Arizona.

Gay didn't skip a beat in the wild-card round with another excellent fantasy showing. He's been a top option all year, and with the Buccaneers-Rams game having the potential to be a high-scoring affair, Gay projects to have another solid game this week.

  • Greg Joseph K | LV

Vikings' Greg Joseph: Ends season with perfect outing

Joseph made his only field-goal attempt and all four of his extra-point tries during Week 18's 31-17 win over the Bears.

Joesph connected on 33-of-38 field-goal attempts and 36-of-40 PATs during the 2021 campaign, which was by far his most productive season of his three-year career. The 27-year-old is set to be a free agent this offseason, but the Vikings will likely want to keep him around given their recent history with inconsistent kickers.

  • Brett Maher K | LAR

Saints' Brett Maher: Stabilizes placekicking for NOLA

Maher converted 16 of 18 field-goal attempts and 10 of 12 PATs over eight games in 2021.

In a quest to replace Wil Lutz (abdomen), the Saints went through a pair of kickers before Maher arrived on the scene. While Maher fared much better than Aldrick Rosas or Cody Parkey, he probably didn't do enough to make New Orleans consider moving on from Lutz's admittedly expensive contract.
