Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Makes just two catches Sunday
Jaylen Waddle corralled two of five targets for 19 yards and also had a nine-yard carry during Sunday's 23-17 road win against the Chargers.Waddle has hit once (8-138-0 on 10 targets in Week 2 against the Jaguars) and otherwise hasn't done much (10-66-1 on 21 targets) in his other four appearances in his first campaign with the Denver Broncos. It didn't help any of Denver's skill-position players that QB Bo Nix's 27 passes went for only 123 yards, and a quick turnaround to face the Seahawks defense Thursday isn't a recipe for Waddle or any of his teammates to turn around their fortunes to begin the 2026 season.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: First TD as Bronco in loss
Jaylen Waddle secured five of six targets for 35 yards and a touchdown in the Denver Broncos' 24-14 loss to the 49ers on Sunday.Waddle recorded his first touchdown as a member of the Broncos at a critical juncture, as his 13-yard scoring grab with just over four minutes remaining helped Denver get to within three points at the time. Waddle also finished second in receptions and tied for runner-up status in targets as well, and he's now seen a total of 23 passes from Bo Nix come his way in the last three contests. The Broncos' air attack and Waddle's chemistry with Nix remains a work in progress, but the veteran receiver takes a solid 16-185-1 line on 26 targets into a Week 5 divisional road matchup against the Chargers next Sunday.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Turns in full practice Wednesday
Jaylen Waddle (leg) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.Though he was seen donning a walking boot following Sunday's win over the Rams, Waddle may have just wearing the boot as a precaution. He was back on the field three days later and took every rep in practice, with head coach Sean Payton relaying afterward that Waddle is "doing fine." Waddle thus looks like he'll be ready to handle his usual allotment of snaps in Sunday's game at San Francisco.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Spotted at practice Wednesday
Jaylen Waddle (leg) was on the field Wednesday for the start of the Denver Broncos' practice session, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.Following Sunday's 30-26 win over the Rams, Waddle was spotted wearing a walking boot on his right foot. His presence on the field begin Week 4 prep suggests he might have been wearing the boot as a precaution, but fantasy managers will nonetheless want to track Waddle's practice activity leading up to this weekend's game in San Francisco. Through his first three contests with the Broncos, Waddle has recorded 11 catches for 150 yards on 20 targets while carrying once for a 14-yard gain.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Quiet twice through three games
Jaylen Waddle caught two of seven targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 30-26 win over the Rams. He also rushed once for 14 yards and caught a two-point conversion. The highlight of Waddle's night came on the two-point conversion after Denver's first touchdown in the third quarter. Bo Nix dropped a pass just over a defender's helmet and Waddle came down with it while getting both feet down in the corner of the end zone to cut Denver's deficit to 16-8. Waddle tied for the team lead with seven targets, matching the totals of Courtland Sutton and RJ Harvey, who were two of the five players that topped Waddle's total in receiving yards Sunday night. The prized offseason acquisition is off to an inconsistent start with the Denver Broncos ahead of a Week 4 trip to San Francisco, sandwiching a 138-yard outburst in Week 2 between two games in which he recorded a combined 12 receiving yards.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Breakout performance in Week 2 win
Jaylen Waddle brought in eight of 10 targets for 138 yards in the Denver Broncos' 20-13 win over the Jaguars on Sunday. After a completely non-descript Broncos debut in Week 1, Waddle bounced back with a signature performance in Denver's come-from-behind victory. The veteran wideout led his team in all of receptions, receiving yards and targets by a wide margin, and the highlight of his afternoon was a spectacular 49-yard contested catch early in the second quarter that took the ball down to the Jaguars' one-yard line. The caliber of performance was emblematic of why the Broncos traded for Waddle this offseason, and it may serve as a launchpad for his role in the offense moving forward.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Nearly blanked in Broncos debut
Jaylen Waddle brought in one of three targets for two yards in the Denver Broncos' 31-10 loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.Waddle's regular-season Broncos debut was as miserable as his final line suggests, as the prominent offseason addition finished last in receptions and yards among Denver players that recorded at least one catch. One of the two targets Waddle couldn't corral was a key third-down drop early in the third quarter, although he was hardly the only underwhelming component of a pass-catching corps that produced a modest 131 total receiving yards. More productive performances are surely ahead for Waddle and the Broncos' air attack, with the first opportunity for atonement coming in a Week 2 home showdown against the Jaguars on Sunday.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Expected to play all over formation
Denver Broncos OC Davis Webb said Aug. 25 that Jaylen Waddle is "going to play everywhere" on offense this season, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports."He's going to play everywhere," Webb said. "He's really really good. He's going to play everywhere. Except offensive line." Coach Sean Payton has been moving Waddle all over the formation during training camp, and he recently beat Patrick Surtain for a 60-yard touchdown in practice. Payton added that Waddle "walks on water" with his traits. Acquired from the Dolphins over the offseason, Waddle missed some time early in camp with tightness. He's looking like a potential home run pick in the third and fourth rounds of fantasy drafts. Waddle is expected to be the engine of the Denver offense.
