LeBron James PF | PHI
76ers' LeBron James: Won't play Saturday
James (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's meeting in Charlotte.
James will rest on the second leg of a back-to-back set, but he should return for Monday's game against the Bulls. Dean Wade and Justin Edwards should see a bump in minutes with James inactive, while Tyrese Maxey figures to see a sizeable uptick in usage.

Joel Embiid C | PHI
76ers' Joel Embiid: Ruled out for Saturday
Embiid (foot) is out for Saturday's game in Charlotte.
It's the second night of a back-to-back set, so Embiid will get hit with a maintenance day. Adem Bona will have the opportunity to start Saturday with Embiid inactive.

Jaylen Brown SF | PHI
76ers' Jaylen Brown: Questionable for Saturday
Brown (knee) is questionable for Saturday's game in Charlotte.
Brown sat out Friday's 98-93 win over the Knicks and is now in jeopardy of missing his second straight game. If he's out again, Dean Wade would likely get another start, and it will be the Tyrese Maxey show on offense with Joel Embiid (foot) and LeBron James (back) already ruled out for Halloween.

Julius Randle PF | BKN
Nets' Julius Randle: Turnover woes continue Friday
Randle ended with 15 points (4-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds and three assists over 25 minutes in Friday's 110-94 loss to Detroit.
Randle struggled taking care of the ball Friday to begin NBA Cup group play. However, he shot the ball well from behind the arc. The 31-year-old is now averaging 21.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists across 33.2 minutes per contest in five regular-season appearances. Randle is committing a career-worst 4.2 turnovers per game, though that isn't surprising, considering he's been more active as a ballhandler in his first year with Brooklyn.

Mikel Brown Jr. PG | BKN
Nets' Mikel Brown: Struggles shooting in loss
Brown finished with 10 points (2-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), four assists and one steal across 23 minutes in Friday's 110-94 loss to the Pistons.
Brown was the star for the Nets in Tuesday's 125-124 overtime loss to the Celtics, ending with a career-high 17 points. While the rookie posted another double-digit scoring effort Friday, he didn't have an efficient night shooting the ball. In five professional appearances since entering the league as the 2026 No. 6 overall pick, Brown is averaging 10.3 points and 4.3 assists over 22.5 minutes per contest. He should continue to get opportunities to play, potentially even cracking the starting lineup at some point, though he may have trouble staying consistent throughout his inaugural campaign.

Ron Holland PF | DET
Pistons' Ronald Holland: Strong two-way showing Friday
Holland finished with 18 points (6-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-7 FT), three rebounds, two assists, four steals and one block across 22 minutes in Friday's 110-94 victory over the Nets.
Holland had more points Friday than he had in the Pistons' first five regular-season games combined. The 2024 No. 5 overall pick shot the ball well, and he also ended the night by recording a career high in steals. Holland is best known for his abilities on the defensive side of the ball. However, the 21-year-old has demonstrated he can be a viable scorer throughout his career. With Jalen Duren (hamstring) sidelined and Tobias Harris (calf) now a Spur, there is room for Holland to at least see an uptick in scoring opportunities.
-
Duncan Robinson SG | DET
Pistons' Duncan Robinson: Scores 17 points in win Friday
Robinson finished with 17 points (5-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, two assists and three steals across 26 minutes in Friday's 110-94 victory over the Nets.
Robinson had an off night shooting the ball from deep but still finished third on the team in scoring behind Cade Cunningham and Ron Holland. The 32-year-old is averaging a career-best 16.8 points and 1.8 steals along with 2.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists over 29.7 minutes per outing in six regular-season appearances. With Jalen Duren (hamstring) sidelined for at least a couple of weeks and Tobias Harris (calf) now in San Antonio, there is room for Robinson to have his most productive year since entering the league in 2018.
-
VJ Edgecombe SG | PHI
76ers' VJ Edgecombe: Grabs eight boards Friday
Edgecombe closed Friday's 98-93 win over New York with 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt), eight rebounds and two assists across 36 minutes.
Edgecombe finished fourth on the 76ers in scoring, but the second-year guard did the dirty work by hauling in eight boards (six on the defensive end of the floor), which were second-most on the team behind LeBron James (nine). Edgecombe has adjusted to his complementary role nicely, and his production will fluctuate on a night-to-night basis depending on the availability of James, Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown (knee) and Tyrese Maxey.

Cade Cunningham PG | DET
Pistons' Cade Cunningham: Scores 20 points in win
Cunningham finished with 20 points (6-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one block across 28 minutes in Friday's 110-94 win over Brooklyn.
Cunningham had trouble getting some of his shots to fall, but his efforts were still good enough to lead Detroit to its fifth victory of the 2026-27 campaign. The 2021 No. 1 overall pick is now averaging 22.2 points, 7.2 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.3 blocks over 33.5 minutes per contest in six regular-season appearances. He will likely continue to produce All-Star numbers and stay an all-around contributor, though he's not the most consistent shooter. Turnovers may also remain a concern.
