Lakers' Austin Reaves: Leads Lakers in scoring
Reaves tallied 19 points (5-11 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 8-12 FT), five rebounds, three assists and a steal across 31 minutes in Friday's 121-106 preseason loss to the Nuggets.
Reaves led Los Angeles in scoring but struggled from beyond the arc, converting just one of seven attempts. His role as the Lakers' No. 2 scoring option behind Luka Doncic is pretty much set in stone, and he should be a key fantasy option for the Lakers as long as he can stay on the court, given his likely high usage rate as both a scorer and playmaker.

Reaves delivered an impressive offensive performance, leading the Lakers in scoring while shooting efficiently from beyond the arc with Luka Doncic taking the night off for rest. The veteran guard looks to be in mid-season form ahead of Opening Night.

Reaves (ankle) won't play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Warriors, Luca Evans of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Reaves missed Monday's game against the Kings after tweaking his ankle, and the Lakers won't risk him, so he'll also sit the second half of this back-to-back set. Reaves' next chance to make his preseason debut will come against the Kings on Thursday.

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Poised for big role
Lakers president Rob Pelinka referred to Reaves, Luka Doncic and Walker Kessler as the team's "Big 3" while discussing the continuity of the roster, Ryan Ward of SI.com reports.
The comments reinforce Reaves' prominent role in Los Angeles' offense and suggest he should remain a major part of the team's plans alongside Doncic and Kessler this season. Fantasy managers can expect a mild bump in offensive usage with LeBron James out of the mix as well.
