  • Dillon Jones SF | PHI

76ers' Dillon Jones: Signs camp deal with 76ers

The 76ers signed Jones to an Exhibit 10 contract Tuesday, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Jones, an NBA champion in each of his first two years in the league, appears to be heading to Philadelphia to compete for a roster spot at training camp. He most recently served as a two-way player for the defending-champion Knicks and could ultimately be re-routed to the G League's Delaware Blue Coats for 2026-27.

  • Bez Mbeng SG | MIA

Hornets' Bez Mbeng: Signs with Charlotte

The Hornets signed Mbeng on Tuesday.

Presumably, this is another Exhibit 10 deal for Charlotte as it fills out its training camp roster. In a related move, Kobe Stewart was waived.

  • AJ Johnson PG | NO

Pelicans' AJ Johnson: Traded to New Orleans

Johnson was traded from the Grizzlies to the Pelicans on Tuesday along with Taj Gibson in exchange for Jordan Hawkins, Micah Peavy, a future second-round pick and a future second-round pick swap, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Johnson is already headed to his fifth organization since being selected 23rd overall in the 2024 NBA Draft. The 21-year-old has averaged 4.9 points across 77 career regular-season appearances and remains a developmental project despite his first-round pedigree. Johnson figures to compete for a depth role in New Orleans and is unlikely to have much fantasy relevance unless injuries open up additional playing time.

  • Taj Gibson PF | NO

Pelicans' Taj Gibson: Traded to New Orleans

Gibson was traded from the Grizzlies to the Pelicans on Tuesday along with AJ Johnson in exchange for Jordan Hawkins, Micah Peavy, a future second-round pick and a future second-round pick swap, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Gibson's stay in New Orleans could be brief. The trade saves the Pelicans $5.7 million in salary and helps clear the way for the team to finalize its two-year deal with Bennedict Mathurin. Gibson therefore shouldn't be considered part of the Pelicans' frontcourt plans at this stage.

  • Micah Peavy SF | OKC

Grizzlies' Micah Peavy: Dealt to Memphis

Peavy was traded to the Grizzlies from the Pelicans on Tuesday along with Jordan Hawkins, a future second-round pick and a future second-round pick swap in exchange for AJ Johnson and Taj Gibson, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Peavy's inclusion is arguably the more notable personnel loss for New Orleans. Will Guillory of The Athletic notes that the 2025 second-round pick showed real promise as an on-ball defender and had become a useful piece of the Pelicans' locker room. Peavy averaged 4.3 points and 1.9 rebounds across 61 regular-season appearances as a rookie, and the 23-year-old should compete for a reserve role on the wing in Memphis.

  • Jordan Hawkins SG | CHI

Grizzlies' Jordan Hawkins: Traded to Memphis

Hawkins was traded to the Grizzlies from the Pelicans on Tuesday along with Micah Peavy, a future second-round pick and a future second-round pick swap in exchange for AJ Johnson and Taj Gibson, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Hawkins' departure doesn't come as much of a surprise, as Will Guillory of The Athletic notes that the Pelicans had been looking to move on from the 24-year-old. Hawkins averaged just 5.1 points in 51 regular-season appearances last season, and moving his $7 million salary helps New Orleans create the necessary financial flexibility to finalize its deal with Bennedict Mathurin. Hawkins will get a fresh start in Memphis, though he'll need to earn a spot in a crowded backcourt rotation before emerging as a fantasy option.

  • Cason Wallace SG | OKC

Thunder's Cason Wallace: Could become full-time starter

Wallace is the most likely replacement for Luguentz Dort in Oklahoma City's starting lineup after Dort was traded to the Hawks in mid-July, according to Anthony Slater of ESPN.

The Thunder traded Dort, Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Joe in cost-cutting maneuvers this offseason, leaving increased playing time available for the likes of Ajay Mitchell, Jared McCain and Wallace. The 22-year-old started 58 of his 77 regular-season appearances in 2025-26 due in large part to Jalen Williams (hamstring) missing significant time, and with Dort out of the picture, Wallace has a strong chance to carve out a full-time role in the starting lineup in the 2026-27 campaign. He averaged 9.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.1 steals across 27.7 minutes per game in his 58 starts last regular season.

  • Kel'el Ware C | MIL

Bucks' Kel'el Ware: Could see increased role with Milwaukee

Ware has a clearer path to playing time on the Bucks and should have a better opportunity to find firmer footing than he had with Miami, per Zach Kram of ESPN.

Ware flashed potential in his first two years in the Association with Miami, and he averaged 11.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.9 combined steals-plus-blocks and 0.7 assists in 22.1 minutes per game across 77 regular-season appearances (34 starts) in 2025-26. The big man also shot an impressive 39.5 percent from downtown on 3.0 three-point tries per contest last season. He was dealt to Milwaukee as part of the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade in June, and Ware now has the chance to start fresh and become a building block for the Bucks in their rebuild. Myles Turner is coming off a down year, and his long-term future in Milwaukee is unclear. Ware could carve out a starting role with the Bucks regardless of Turner's presence, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the former take another step forward in a more favorable situation.

  • Thunder's Isaiah Hartenstein: Participating in practice

Hartenstein (ankle) participated in an offseason workout with the Thunder on Monday, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

Hartenstein sat out FIBA qualifiers with Germany to nurse an ankle injury he sustained earlier this summer, so it's encouraging to see him back on the court ahead of training camp in the fall. The 28-year-old big man appears to be firmly on track for the start of the regular season in October, barring any setbacks along the way.

  • Sion James SF | CHA

Hornets' Sion James: Faces increased competition for minutes

James will have added competition for playing time after the Hornets added Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale and Dorian Finney-Smith this offseason.

James saw a meaningful role in his rookie season, averaging 5.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.6 steals across 22.5 minutes per tilt in 82 regular-season games (19 starts). The Hornets took a significant step forward in 2025-26 and will look to continue building momentum behind Kon Knueppel and Brandon Miller (shoulder). The club added several veteran swingmen, and while not all of them are guaranteed a steady role, they could challenge James for minutes.
