  • Bucks' Jaime Jaquez: Starts preseason opener

Jaquez recorded five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 19 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason loss to the Timberwolves.

Jaquez most notably started Milwaukee's preseason opener, implying he's the favorite to start Opening Night in favor of Kevin Porter. He already averaged career bests in points (15.4), boards (5.0), dimes (4.7) and minutes per game (28.3) while shooting 50.7 percent from the field over 75 regular-season games in 2025-26 with the Heat, and Jaquez has room for growth in his debut season for the rebuilding Bucks.

  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Quiet outing Monday

Hunter finished with three points (3-3 FT) in 13 minutes during Monday's 127-103 preseason loss to Los Angeles.

Hunter started at small forward but didn't attempt a field goal during his limited action. The 28-year-old joined Sacramento late last season and appears positioned to open the 2026-27 campaign in the starting lineup.

  • Zach LaVine SG | SAC

Kings' Zach LaVine: Shoots well in preseason

LaVine finished with nine points (4-6 FG, 1-2 FT) and one rebound in 15 minutes during Monday's 127-103 preseason loss to the Lakers.

LaVine started at shooting guard but played only during the first half as Sacramento limited the workload of its veterans. The 31-year-old remains one of the Kings' primary scoring options after averaging 19.2 points during the 2025-26 regular season.

  • Kings' Daeqwon Plowden: Produces 12 points

Plowden finished with 12 points (3-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 25 minutes during Monday's 127-103 preseason loss to the Lakers.

Plowden was among Sacramento's first five players off the bench and received a sizable workload in the preseason opener. He'll look to solidify a spot in the Kings' wing rotation after averaging 10.8 points across 40 appearances during the 2025-26 regular season.

  • Timberwolves' Joan Beringer: Efficient in preseason opener

Beringer supplied 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds and one block across 15 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason win over the Bucks.

Beringer led the second unit in rebounding Monday in Minnesota's preseason opener. The second-year big man is slotting in as the team's No. 2 center behind Rudy Gobert now that Naz Reid is out of the frontcourt mix, so Beringer should have an Opening Night role.

  • Chris Manon SG | LAL

Lakers' Chris Manon: Effective in limited run

Manon recorded 12 points (2-3 FG, 8-10 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 12 minutes during Monday's 127-103 preseason win over Sacramento.

Manon did all of his damage in the fourth quarter after receiving praise from coach JJ Redick for his work during training camp. The two-way guard remains a long shot for consistent NBA minutes, but his strong camp and productive preseason debut are encouraging signs.

  • Quentin Grimes SG | LAL

Lakers' Quentin Grimes: Efficient in start

Grimes finished with 16 points (5-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and one assist in 19 minutes during Monday's 127-103 preseason win over the Kings.

Grimes drew the start with Austin Reaves (ankle) and Collin Sexton (lower body) unavailable and didn't commit a turnover during an efficient Lakers debut. The 26-year-old is competing for a starting spot and should have a significant role regardless of where he ultimately lands in the rotation.

  • Timberwolves' Jaden McDaniels: Sharp in preseason win

McDaniels supplied nine points (4-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist across 15 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason win over the Bucks.

McDaniels looked sharp in Minnesota's preseason opener Monday. With Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball headlining a star-studded Timberwolves' backcourt in 2026-27, McDaniels should find plenty of open looks from beyond the arc after shooting a career-high 41.2 percent from deep last regular season.

  • Lakers' Sandro Mamukelashvili: Fares well off bench

Mamukelashvili finished with eight points (3-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt), five assists, one rebound and two steals in 19 minutes during Monday's 127-103 preseason win over Sacramento.

Mamukelashvili showed off his versatility in his Lakers debut, with his five assists ranking second on the team. The 27-year-old is coming off a career-best 2025-26 regular season with Toronto and should have a consistent role in Los Angeles' frontcourt after signing a four-year deal during the offseason.

  • Labaron Philon PG | PHI

76ers' Labaron Philon: Hands out four dimes

Philon finished with six points (2-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four assists and two rebounds in 25 minutes during Monday's 120-97 preseason win over the Knicks.

Philon struggled with his shot but didn't commit a turnover while receiving an extended look in Philadelphia's preseason opener. The rookie should continue to see opportunities during the preseason as the 76ers evaluate their backcourt depth.
