  • The Thunder are shutting down Mara (rest) for the remainder of the Las Vegas Summer League, per Rylan Stiles of SI.com. Oklahoma City got a good look at Mara during exhibition play, as the rookie big man averaged 9.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.8 blocks in 23.9 minutes per game over five Summer League appearances. Mara, a 2026 first-rounder, will be competing with Jaylin Williams for the backup center gig behind Isaiah Hartenstein during training camp.

  • Mara finished with 14 points (6-6 FG, 1-5 FT), seven rebounds and six assists across 25 minutes in Tuesday's 106-103 Summer League loss to Denver. Mara had 14 points Tuesday, his highest scoring effort of the Las Vegas Summer League. The 21-year-old is coming off a productive 2025-26 campaign at Michigan, when he averaged 12.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.6 blocks and 0.4 steals over 23.4 minutes in 40 appearances, including six NCAA Tournament games. Mara isn't expected to see consistent action during his inaugural season, but he may be used situationally when necessary.

  • Mara logged 10 points (4-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and one block across 24 minutes in Sunday's 104-79 Summer League loss to the Warriors. After scoring two points on 0-of-3 shooting from the field in Friday's loss to Los Angeles, Mara turned in an efficient performance Sunday and finished as Oklahoma City's third-leading scorer. The big man out of Michigan also led the team in rebounds, finishing one board shy of his first double-double across four outings between the Salt Lake City and Las Vegas Summer Leagues.
