Alexander may be able to stick in the Tigers' rotation for an extended period of time with Casey Mize (elbow) on the IL and Matt Manning (shoulder) leaving his most recent start early, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Manning felt right shoulder discomfort during his outing Saturday, and while he hasn't been placed on the IL yet, the Tigers may exercise some caution. Michael Pineda is still ramping up in the minors after a late start to camp, but even his eventual return leaves a few holes in the rotation behind Eduardo Rodriguez and Tarik Skubal. Alexander's fantasy value will be increased as long as he's starting games and not working in long relief.

Rosenberg had his contract selected by the Angels on Monday.

Rosenberg has been called up for his first taste of big-league action after posting a 2.35 ERA over 30.2 innings at the Triple-A level last year. Brian Moran was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Snead (undisclosed) was transferred to the COVID-19 injured list Monday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Snead was on the restricted list for the series in Canada this past weekend, potentially because he's unvaccinated and unable to travel to Canada, and he's now shifted to the COVID-19 IL. It's unclear whether the 277-year-old has tested positive for the virus, but he'll remain unavailable for now.

Puk (undisclosed) was transferred to the COVID-19 injured list Monday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Puk was placed on the restricted list for the series in Toronto this past weekend, potentially because he's unvaccinated and couldn't travel to Canada, and he'll now move to the COVID-19 IL. It's unclear if the 27-year-old tested positive for the virus, but he'll remain away from the team for the time being.

Trivino (undisclosed) was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Monday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

The Athletics are returning home for the start of a four-game series against the Orioles on Monday, but Trivino and five of his teammates won't be available while on the COVID-19 IL. It's unclear whether or not he tested positive for the virus, but the Athletics with be without their closer for a short period regardless. Domingo Acevedo and Dany Jimenez should be the top options to step in should a save opportunity arise.

Yarbrough (groin) could throw a bullpen session Monday or Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Yarbrough will need to spend more than the minimum of 10 days on the injured list due to his groin injury, but it's encouraging that he'll be able to resume mound work soon. The southpaw won't pitch during the Rays' road series against the Cubs, but it's possible he'll be able to rejoin the rotation sometime during the weekend series against the Red Sox in Tampa Bay. Yarbrough's injury isn't regarded as particularly serious, but Cash said the team is exercising caution to prevent against a more significant issue.

Mayza struck out two over 1.1 perfect innings Sunday to record his third hold of the season in a win over the A's.

The southpaw took over for Alek Manoah to begin the seventh inning and needed only 13 pitches (10 strikes) to rack up his four outs. Mayza is the top lefty in the Blue Jays' bullpen and has been sharp to begin the season, posting a 2.25 ERA, 0.50 WHIP and 4:0 K:BB through four innings over five appearances.

Mayers (1-0) earned the win Sunday in relief against Texas after pitching a scoreless outing, allowing one walk across two-thirds of an inning.

Mayers had been struggling badly to begin the season and gave up five earned runs and three hits while posting a 2:2 K:BB through his first two outings (0.2 innings), but he managed to bounce back here en route to his first win of the campaign. The outing wasn't a dominant one by any means and the command issues are still persistent, as evidenced by his 0:3 K:BB and the fact that he only tossed three of his 10 pitches for strikes, but at least he got the job done when called upon in this one. His fantasy upside remains minimal, though.

Stanek did not allow a baserunner or strike out any hitters in a scoreless inning Sunday against the Mariners.

Stanek was dealing with tightness in his back throughout the weekend series, but he was able to take the mound in the finale. His performance wasn't particularly notable, as the Astros were down 7-2 when he entered the game. However, with Ryan Pressly (knee) on the injured list, Stanek is a potential source of saves in the short term.

Oller (0-1) allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks over 3.1 innings Sunday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Blue Jays.

Oller allowed one run in each of the first three innings; he allowed an RBI sacrifice fly to Lourdes Gurriel in the first followed by RBI singles from Santiago Espinal and Matt Chapman. The 27-year-old owns a brutal 13.50 ERA through 4.2 innings in two appearances this season. Oller is currently expected to face the Rangers at home next week.
