However, he has picked things up of late, going 7-for-14 with five doubles and 10 RBI over his past four contests.

Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI in Friday's 4-2 win over the Orioles.

He opened the scoring with an RBI two-bagger in the third inning before swatting a solo shot in the sixth, his second homer of the year. Cabrera has seven hits in the last four games, including three extra-base knocks, to push his slash line on the season up to .276/.325/.381 with 12 RBI through 29 contests. The 39-year-old is nearing the end of his Hall of Fame career, but he's still capable of making a contribution.

Miller went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 7-1 loss to the Red Sox.

Miller swiped his fourth bag of the season, surpassing his total over 140 games with the Phillies in 2021. The 32-year-old's stolen double-digit bags just once during his career -- 13 for the Mariners in 2015 -- but he's part of a runnin' Rangers squad that is tied for third in MLB with 22 thefts.

Harper went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two doubles, two walks, two runs and two RBI in a 12-10 victory over the Dodgers on Friday.

Harper was the driving force behind Friday's power surge, doubling in the third and sixth, walking in the fourth and 10th and homering in the eighth for his fourth multi-hit game in his last five. The 29-year-old has been scorching over the past week-plus, going 15-for-32 with six doubles and four home runs to bump his slash line to .291/.350/.598.

Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a homer, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Nationals.

Alvarez singled and scored as part of the Astros' five-run rally in the first inning and extended the lead to six with a solo shot in the top of the third inning. He's riding a streak of three consecutive multi-hit games and now has 11 homers on the season to go along with a .280/.381/.640 slash line.

Ford will bat seventh as the designated hitter Friday against the Mets after being added to the Mariners' active roster, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Ford was claimed off waivers from the Giants on Thursday and will quickly enter the lineup for the Mariners. The 29-year-old spent six games on Seattle's roster earlier this season but didn't see the field before being designated for assignment and shipped to San Francisco at the end of April.

Miller went 2-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Royals.

Miller's seventh-inning flyball down the right field line clanged off the foul pole 326 feet away and provided the game-winning run. It was his fifth homer of the season and second in as many nights. The utility player, who started at third base Thursday, has heated up over the past week, going 7-for-18 (.389) with three home runs and seven RBI. Miller is emerging from a 6-for-43 (.140) stretch when it looked like he might lose playing time.

It was announced Thursday that Harper has a small tear in his UCL and won't be able to play the field for the foreseeable future, but the injury didn't seem to affect him at the plate Thursday. The veteran put the Phillies on the board with a solo shot to right field in the first inning and drove in two more runs before the contest was over. Harper has enjoyed a strong start to the month of May, slashing .325/.349/.725 with four homers, four doubles, eight RBI and three stolen bases through 10 games.
