Pederson is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Rockies, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Pederson will stick on the bench for a second straight game with another southpaw in Tyler Anderson toeing the rubber for the Rockies. Chris Taylor will once again start in left field in his place.

Belt (knee) is not in the lineup against San Diego on Wednesday, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Belt will remain on the bench for a fifth straight game as he nurses a knee injury. In his place, Aramis Garcia will draw another start at first base. Consider Belt day-to-day ahead of Friday's series opener in St. Louis.

Choi is out of the lineup versus the Rangers on Wednesday, Marc Topkin of The Tampa Bay Times reports.

Choi will receive a breather on getaway day with left-hander Yohander Mendez on the bump for Texas. Dating back to the start of the month, Choi is slashing .283/.371/.642 with five home runs and 15 RBI. C.J. Cron will serve as the DH in his place Wednesday.

Carpenter is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Braves.

With the two teams playing a day game after a night game in the series finale, Carpenter will pick up some rest, affording Matt Adams a turn at first base. After closing out August with his 35th home run of the season, Carpenter has endured a power outage thus far in September. He's failed to go deep in the Cardinals' 17 games on the month, contributing only two extra-base hits in total while batting just .169.

Reyes went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two strikeouts in Tuesday's loss the Giants.

Reyes notched a game-tying single in the third inning, then later put San Diego in the lead with a two-run homer in the fifth in the eventual 5-4 defeat. The 23-year-old has been seeing regular playing time of late and has been responding well to the increased workload, slashing .358/.404/.547 with three homers and 10 RBI in September.

Canha went 1-for-1 with a double, a walk and three RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Angels.

Canha smacked a bases-clearing double with two outs in the fourth inning, but he was eventually removed for a pinch hitter in the seventh inning. With the emergence of Nick Martini and Ramon Laureano in the outfield, Canha has mostly been relegated to a reserve role during the stretch run of the season.

Blackmon went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks in Tuesday's loss to the Dodgers.

Blackmon briefly put Colorado ahead with his fifth-inning home run -- his 27th of the year -- though the Dodgers would tie it back up in the bottom of the frame in the extra-inning defeat. The 32-year-old is working on an 11-game hitting streak and is now slashing .375/.438/.656 across 64 at-bats since the start of September.

Harper walked in all five of his plate appearances Tuesday against the Marlins. He failed to contribute any other counting stats.

He leads the majors in walks with 123. Even with that in mind, it's impressive that this wasn't the first time this season that Harper has walked five times -- his career high is six in a game, back on May 6, 2016 against the Cubs.

Ohtani (ankle) is hitting fifth and serving as the designated hitter Tuesday against the A's, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

As expected, Ohtani won't be forced to miss any time after suffering a minor ankle injury while sliding into second base Sunday. The 24-year-old is hitting .364/.440/.841 with five homers, three stolen bases and 12 RBI through 12 games in September.

Pederson is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rockies.

Despite going 3-for-4 with a pair of homers in Monday's series-opening win, Pederson will hit the bench with a left-hander in Kyle Freeland starting for the Rockies. Chris Taylor will cover left field and bat leadoff Tuesday.
