Ohtani is "totally healthy" according to pitching coach Mickey Callaway, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Callaway blamed Ohtani's command for his awful season debut Sunday, in which he allowed five runs on three hits and three walks without recording a single out, saying that he simply didn't get the chance to face enough hitters during his preseason buildup. While that could certainly be the case, the fact that his fastball averaged just 92.9 mph after sitting at 96.7 mph back in 2018, his lone big-league season prior to Tommy John surgery, certainly gives cause for concern. For now, it appears that he's set to continue in his typical two-way role, as he'll bat third as the designated hitter Monday against the Athletics.

Lewis went 2-for-4 with a go-ahead two-run single, a double, a walk and a run in a win over the Astros on Sunday.

After belting a home run in each of the first two games of the series, Lewis got to the Astros with a "smaller-ball" approach that saw him reach on multiple occasions for the second time in as many games. The surging outfielder's eighth-inning single did plenty of damage, as it brought home Austin Nola and Shed Long to snap a 5-5 tie and give the Mariners a lead that would prove to be just enough. Factoring in Sunday's production, Lewis is now 4-for-11 with the aforementioned pair of round trippers, four RBI, two walks and three runs over his first three games, although he's also struck out on six of the seven occasions in which he's made an out.

Canha went 2-for-4 with a two-run single and a run in a win over the Angels on Sunday.

The veteran outfielder drove home Matt Chapman and Ramon Laureano with his first-inning single, extending the Athletics' lead to 3-0 at the time. Canha has drawn starts in two of the first three games of the season, contributing a single in each while also striking out in three of his other six plate appearances.

Solak started in left field and went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Rockies.

While Willie Calhoun is brought back slowly from a hip injury and serving as the designated hitter, the Rangers are getting by in left field. Solak started Friday's opener and Shin-Soo Choo was there Saturday. Solak returned to left field Sunday. The Rangers have an off day Monday, which may give manager Chris Woodward the confidence to return Calhoun to the field.

Ozuna went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an RBI double, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's 14-1 win over the Mets.

Ozuna restored a two-run lead in the third inning with his double to plate Ozzie Albies, sparking a five-run surge. Ozuna then added a solo shot in the sixth. He's already homered twice through three games this season. The 29-year-old should continue to slug in the middle of the Braves' dangerous offense.

Ohtani (0-1) allowed five runs on three hits and three walks while failing to record an out as he took the loss against the Athletics on Sunday.

The Athletics played some small ball to get their first six batters on base before Angels manager Joe Maddon replaced Ohtani with Matt Andriese. It was as far from triumphant as possible for Ohtani, who made his first pitching appearance since 2018. The 26-year-old's next scheduled outing is next Sunday versus the high-scoring Astros.

Choi went 1-for-4 with a home run, walk and two RBI Sunday against the Rays.

Choi worked on his ability to switch-hit during summer camp with the hope of staying in the lineup against left-handed pitchers. That work paid off in the sixth inning, when Choi took southpaw Anthony Kay deep during his second major-league at-bat as a right-handed hitter. This development could be particularly noteworthy if Choi is allowed to face more lefties throughout the season, in turn increasing his playing time.

Harper went 1-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run against the Marlins on Sunday.

Harper got the Phillies off to a quick start with a deep home run to right field in the first inning. It was his first long ball of the season, though the Marlins pitching staff issued him four free passes in their three-game set. Harper will look to build on this performance when the Phillies take on the Yankees in their second series of the campaign.

Pederson isn't in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Pederson started in Friday's contest against a southpaw starting pitcher, but he'll sit Sunday against left-hander Drew Smyly. Chris Taylor will start in left field and bat fifth.

Jimenez was removed from Sunday's game against the Twins due to light-headedness.

The 23-year-old crashed into the outfield wall during the first inning and remained in the game after being checked for a concussion, but he was removed shortly thereafter. Jimenez continues to be evaluated, so it may be a bit premature to say he avoided a concussion. He should be considered day-to-day until the team provides another update.
