Alvarez went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double and two total runs in Saturday's 10-4 win against the Angels.

Alvarez's most productive hit was a solo shot to center field in the seventh inning. That was his 35th long ball of the season, 10th most in the majors. The four-hit performance snapped an uncharacteristic cold streak for Alvarez, who came into Saturday having gone 2-for-22 over his previous six games.

O'Hearn isn't in Baltimore's lineup Friday against the Tigers.

With southpaw Tyler Holton set to open Friday's contest for Detroit, the lefty-hitting O'Hearn will take a seat on the bench. While he rests, Coby Mayo will pick up a start at first base and bat seventh.

Yoshida is absent from the lineup for Friday's game against the Twins.

The Twins are starting a right-hander in David Festa, but the left-handed-hitting Yoshida will nonetheless begin this one on the bench. After an excellent July and August, Yoshida is slashing just .231/.286/.365 so far in September. Tyler O'Neill will be Boston's designated hitter Friday.

Manzardo went 3-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's 3-2 win over Minnesota.

Manzardo opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with a solo shot off Simeon Woods Richardson. The 24-year-old Manzardo has swung the bat well since he was recalled on Sep. 1, going 15-for-42 (.357) with four homers in 16 games after batting just .207 with a .571 OPS across 30 contests in his first stint with the Guardians earlier this year.

Rooker went 2-for-3 with an RBI infield single, a stolen base and a walk in a win over the Cubs on Wednesday. He was also caught stealing on another attempt.

Rooker continued his torrid September run Wednesday with his eighth multi-hit effort in 17 games. The slugger got it done with some small ball in the matinee victory after having belted his 36th and 37th home runs of the season on back-to-back days to begin the week. Rooker's on-base streak now sits at 28 games as well, a stretch that dates back to Aug. 20 and has seen him generate a .357/.421/.634 slash line with 13 extra-base hits and 27 RBI across 126 plate appearances.

Stanton isn't in the Yankees' lineup Wednesday versus the Mariners.

Slashing just .171/.271/.390 with four RBI through 48 plate appearances in September, Stanton will take a seat on the bench for the second game in a row Wednesday. Aaron Judge will once again work as New York's DH while Alex Verdugo, Jasson Dominguez and Juan Soto start across the outfield.

Manzardo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Manzardo had served as the Guardians' designated hitter in both of the team's last two matchups with righties, but he'll head to the bench Wednesday even though Minnesota is sending right-hander Bailey Ober to the hill. David Fry will fill in for Manzardo at DH and will bat fifth.

Stanton isn't in the Yankees' lineup for Tuesday's game versus Seattle.

Stanton has tallied a hit in each of his last three games, but he'll step out of the starting nine Tuesday while Aaron Judge serves as New York's designated hitter and Alex Verdugo picks up a start in the outfield.

O'Hearn isn't in Baltimore's lineup Tuesday against the Giants.

The lefty-hitting O'Hearn will begin Tuesday's game in the dugout with fellow left-hander Blake Snell set to start on the bump for San Francisco. Coby Mayo will handle first-base duties while O'Hearn sits, and Eloy Jimenez will serve as the Orioles' DH.

Manzardo went 1-for-3 with a walk, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Monday's 4-3 win over the Twins.

The rookie slugger tattooed a Griffin Jax fastball deep to right field in the eighth inning, giving the Guardians their first and only lead of the game. Manzardo still isn't seeing consistent playing time, but he's been a more reliable contributor of late when he is on the lineup card, slashing .278/.333/.583 through 39 plate appearances in September with two doubles and all three of his big-league homers so far.
