Murphy isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Angels.

Murphy had reached base in each of the last four games and went 4-for-12 with two homers, four runs, three RBI and three walks during that time. Aramis Garcia will start behind the plate and bat ninth.

Murphy went 0-for-2 with a run-scoring sacrifice fly, two walks and a run in a in over the Twins on Tuesday.

Multiple teammates stole the headlines with big extra-base hits, but Murphy also enjoyed some rare success at the plate in less spectacular fashion. The veteran backstop's season line still sits at a dismal .178/.250/.364, yet 12 of his 23 hits have gone for extra bases (six doubles, six home runs) and he's now reached safely in seven straight games.

Stallings isn't in the lineup Wednesday against the Nationals.

Stallings had started each of the last four games, and he went 2-for-16 with a home run, a double, two runs and an RBI during that time. Michael Perez will start behind the dish and bat eighth.

Caratini isn't starting Wednesday's game against Colorado.

Caratini went 1-for-6 with a double, an RBI and two strikeouts across the last two games. Webster Rivas will start behind the dish and bat eighth.

Narvaez isn't starting Wednesday against the Reds.

Narvaez had started each of the last two games and went 2-for-8 with a strikeout during that time. Manny Pina will start behind the plate and bat fifth.

Haase isn't starting Wednesday against Kansas City.

Across the last three games, Haase had gone 4-for-12 with two doubles, a run and two strikeouts. Jake Rogers will start behind the plate and bat ninth.

Gomes went 1-for-3 with a grand slam, a walk and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 8-1 win over the Pirates.

The 33-year-old put the finishing touches on a five-run first inning with a one-out grand slam to comfortably put Washington in the lead. Gomes is batting .248/.287/.416 with six home runs, five doubles, 22 RBI and 19 runs through 42 games this season. The homer was just the catcher's second since May 7, while the big four-RBI night doubled his total for June.

Murphy went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored Tuesday in a 6-4 victory over the Angels.

With Oakland ahead by two runs late, Murphy drove a ball over the center field wall in the eighth inning to provide some extra breathing room. The homer was Murphy's second in as many games and eighth overall this season. He is batting only .219 but has driven in 35 runs over 56 games.

Stassi is not in the lineup Tuesday at Oakland.

Stassi has a 1.297 OPS with four homers, four doubles, 10 RBI and 13 runs in 11 games since returning from the injured list June 1, but he'll receive the day off Tuesday. Kurt Suzuki will start behind the plate in his place.

Jansen (hamstring) took live batting practice Tuesday and is close to returning from the injured list, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Jansen will be eligible to return Thursday. The Blue Jays haven't officially confirmed that they expect him to return when first eligible, but it looks as though he has a chance to do so.
