Wynns is out of the lineup for Monday's game against Atlanta, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Wynns will take a seat after starting each of the past three games at either catcher or designated hitter while going 0-for-6 with a walk. Now that top backstop Curt Casali is more than a week removed from the hamstring issue that cost him a few games, Wynns should see his opportunities dwindle moving forward.

Higashioka went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to Toronto on Sunday.

Higashioka hit one of five New York homers in the contest, swatting a 426-foot solo shot in the sixth inning. The backstop didn't go deep in any of his first 34 contests this season but has since left the yard in three of his past four games. Over that stretch, he is batting .313 (5-for-16) with four homers, seven RBI and five runs.

Mejia isn't starting Monday against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Mejia will get a breather after he went 5-for-8 with a double and two runs over the last two matchups. Rene Pinto is starting behind the plate and batting ninth.

Contreras is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Giants.

Contreras made consecutive starts to close out the weekend series with the Cubs, going 2-for-8 with a double between those games. Travis d'Arnaud and Marcell Ozuna will pick up starts at catcher and designated hitter, respectively, in Monday's contest, and Contreras looks like he'll be behind both on the depth chart for the time being. Even so, Contreras should continue to pick up a handful of starts per week while he keeps swinging the bat well.

The Guardians promoted Naylor from Double-A Akron to Triple-A Columbus on Monday.

Naylor will move up a level in the wake of Columbus placing fellow backstop Bryan Lavastida (hamstring) on the 7-day injured list in a corresponding move. The younger brother of Guardians first baseman/outfielder Josh Naylor, Bo slashed .271/.427/.471 with six home runs, 11 stolen bases and a 20.9 percent walk rate over 220 plate appearances with Akron.

Murphy went 3-for-4 with a double and a three-run home run in Sunday's victory over the Royals.

Murphy sent Seth Brown and Ramon Laureano home on a sixth-inning shot, giving him eight home runs on the season. The catcher has at least one hit in four of his last five games, including two multi-hit affairs. After batting .218 in April and .188 in May, Murphy has made some improvements and is slashing .261/.320/.500 in June, raising his season batting average to .214.

Diaz went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and three total RBI in Sunday's victory over the Padres.

Diaz sent C.J. Cron home on a second-inning single, launched a solo shot in the sixth, then walked with the bases loaded in the seventh. The homer was his third of the season and his first since April 29. Diaz struggled in May, but has picked things up in June with seven hits in 10 games this month. Even so, Diaz still looks to have fallen behind the hot-hitting Brian Serven for the No. 1 catcher role in Colorado.

Nola went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's loss to the Rockies.

Nola sent Luke Voit home on a two-run shot in the eighth inning, but the Padres were two far behind and ended up with the loss. The home run was Nola's second of the year and his first since April 11. Perhaps things are turning around for the catcher as he is on a five-game hitting streak and has raised his batting average from .219 to .229 during that span.

d'Arnaud went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Sunday's win over the Cubs.

d'Arnaud launched a first-inning blast off Kyle Hendricks that sent Dansby Swanson and Matt Olson home and gave the Braves an early 3-0 lead. The catcher has 10 hits in nine games this month and bounced back well Sunday after ending a four-game hitting streak in his previous appearance. d'Arnaud is slashing .257/.302/.474 this season to go along with nine home runs.

Caratini went 2-for-2 with a homer, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and two RBI in a 6-3 win Sunday in Cincinnati.

Caratini reached base all four times he came to the plate and delivered a two-out, two-run homer in the fourth inning to give Milwaukee an early 3-0 lead. Over his last four starts, he is 8-for-13 with three extra-base hits and three walks. While he's primarily starting against left-handed pitching, the 28-year-old is making the most of his opportunities and has posted a career-high .843 OPS through 30 contests.
