The veteran switch hitter has seen ample playing time between catcher and first base to open the 2026 campaign, appearing in 14 games while hitting .271/.373/.354 with a homer, a double, five runs and eight RBI.

Jeffers went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two additional RBI, two additional runs scored and a walk in Monday's 13-6 victory over Boston.

Jeffers had a big day at the plate, driving in three runs, highlighted by a 108.2 mph solo homer in the fifth inning. It's been a strong start to the season for the 28-year-old backstop, who is now slashing .317/.440/.512 with two homers, two doubles, 10 runs and 10 RBI through 12 appearances.

Hicks went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 10-4 win over Atlanta.

Hicks was a run-producing force, driving in three runs as part of a three-hit performance. After posting just a .412 OPS over his previous 10 appearances, the catcher looked more like his early-season self Monday, when he recorded a 1.660 OPS through Miami's first five contests. Through 16 games, the 26-year-old is hitting .319/.370/.532 with three homers, a double, 10 runs and 16 RBI.

Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run, an additional RBI, an additional run scored and a walk in Monday's 10-4 win over Atlanta.

Ramirez put Miami ahead in the fifth inning with a three-run blast into the left-field bleachers, a lead the club wouldn't relinquish. It marked the 24-year-old's first homer of the season after a slow start, with Monday's performance raising his OPS from .617 to .731 through 16 games. Coming off a rookie campaign in 2025 in which he tallied 21 homers and 33 doubles, Ramirez will look to build on this effort and generate more extra-base production moving forward.

Ballesteros went 2-for-2 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Monday's 13-7 loss to the Phillies.

Ballesteros didn't start the contest with Philadelphia trotting out lefty Cristopher Sanchez, but the former made his mark once he did get into the game. This was the third straight two-hit effort for Ballesteros, who is now batting .333 for the season to go along with a .903 OPS. The 22-year-old may continue to sit regularly against southpaws, though he appears to be Chicago's top DH option against righties, particularly due to his recent hot streak.

Jansen is not in the Rangers' starting lineup against the Athletics on Monday.

Jansen will be on the bench for the start of Monday's series opener while Kyle Higashioka serves behind home plate and bats sixth. In eight games since April 1, Jansen has gone 4-for-23 (.174) with two RBI and nine strikeouts.

Naylor is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.

Naylor will hit the bench for a third straight game and for the fifth time in six contests while the Guardians face another lefty starter (Matthew Liberatore). He'll be joined on the bench by fellow left-handed hitters Chase DeLauter, Kyle Manzardo and George Valera.

Ballesteros is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.

After a string of five consecutive starts, the left-handed-hitting Ballesteros will take a seat while the Cubs face a tough lefty (Cristopher Sanchez) in the series opener in Philadelphia. Seiya Suzuki will get a day off from playing the outfield and will step in as the Cubs' designated hitter in place of Ballesteros.

Susac went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Orioles.

With Patrick Bailey taking a seat for the series finale, Susac got the starting nod for the third time this season. The 24-year-old delivered an RBI single in the fifth, driving in San Francisco's first run. He's gone 7-for-11 with three RBI, a run scored, a triple and a walk across 12 plate appearances so far this season and could continue pushing for increased playing time.

Realmuto (foot) will start at catcher and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Cubs, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Realmuto was held out of the starting nine for Sunday's 4-3 loss to Arizona after fouling a ball off of his foot a night earlier, but manager Rob Thomson never suggested that the veteran backstop was at risk of missing significant time beyond that. A day of rest appears to have provided sufficient time for Realmuto's sore foot to heal, as he'll be back behind the plate as Philadelphia opens a three-game set with Chicago.
