Bart (groin) began a rehab assignment Friday and went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in Triple-A Sacramento's game versus Tacoma.

Bart may need a few games to shake off any rust after being sidelined for over two weeks, but he could be activated at some point next week. Those with fantasy shares in the catcher should be rooting for a quick return -- the Giants begin a three-game series in Colorado on Tuesday. It's unclear if Bart will return to a starting role however, as Patrick Bailey has hit .310 across his first 12 major-league games.

San Diego transferred Campusano (thumb) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Campusano underwent surgery May 12 to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb and had already been ruled out through at least mid-July. Alfonso Rivas will take over the vacated 40-man roster spot.

Vazquez isn't in the Twins' lineup Friday against Cleveland.

Vazquez has collected four hits over his last two games, but Ryan Jeffers will get the nod instead and bat sixth Friday. Vazquez and Jeffers have alternated starts since May 23.

Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Friday that Pineda (finger) is now dealing with a left oblique strain, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Pineda began a minor-league rehab assignment last week with High-A Wilmington, but he'll be shut down again for at least the next couple of weeks. The 23-year-old catcher originally landed on the injured list in March due to a fractured right pinkie finger.

Heim is out of the lineup Friday against the Mariners.

Sandy Leon will catch and bat ninth versus the Mariners and right-hander Luis Castillo as Heim grabs a bit of rest. Heim handled the catching duties in all three games of the Rangers' previous series at Detroit.

Garver was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Garver has been on the shelf since early April with a knee injury but has been cleared to return following a successful rehab assignment which saw him go 6-for-19 with a pair of home runs in six games. Jonah Heim will remain the Rangers' primary catcher and Sandy Leon is still on the roster, but Garver should see a good number of starts at designated hitter while also being mixed in at catcher.

The Yankees traded Godoy to the Orioles on Friday.

Godoy holds an .855 OPS through 41 plate appearances in Triple-A this season. He'll provide the Orioles with organizational depth behind the plate, but Godoy's .334 OPS in the majors will likely prevent the team from bringing him onto the big-league squad anytime soon.

Fortes isn't starting Friday against Oakland, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Fortes has been hot at the plate lately, going 6-for-15 with a home run and three RBI across his last five games. However, he will take a seat Friday as Jacob Stallings fills in behind the plate while batting eighth.

Wong is absent from the lineup for Friday's game versus the Rays.

Wong extended his hitting streak to eight games in style Thursday against the Reds with a two-run homer, but he'll begin this one on the bench. Reese McGuire will catch Garrett Whitlock.

Ruiz went 3-for-4 with two home runs, three runs scored and three RBI in Wednesday's win over the Dodgers.

The switch-hitting catcher has seven homers on the season, but four of them have come in his last 10 games -- a stretch in which he's batting .294 (10-for-34) with 10 RBI. Ruiz has flashed power in the minors, launching 24 homers over 101 games between Triple-A and MLB in 2021, and while the 24-year-old's heavy workload could weigh on him as the summer progresses, he could also be poised for a big second half.
