Brice Turang 2B | MIL
Brewers' Brice Turang: Power surge continues in rout
Turang went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 7-1 win over Pittsburgh.
Although Turang's seven-game hitting streak came to an end as a pinch hitter in Sunday's win over the Mets, he now has at least one knock in eight consecutive starts. The speedy second baseman is on a tear to begin August -- Turang is hitting .353 with five homers, three doubles, 11 RBI and two stolen bases over 34 at-bats so far this month.

Brendan Donovan 2B | STL
Cardinals' Brendan Donovan: Delivers clutch hit off bench
Donovan (groin) recorded a two-RBI double in a pinch-hit appearance Monday against the Rockies.
Donovan was called upon in the bottom of the eighth inning and put his club ahead with a clutch double. The 28-year-old hadn't taken an at-bat since Friday due to a left groin injury, but if he emerges from Monday's matchup feeling healthy, there's a chance he could return to the starting lineup Tuesday.

Christian Moore 2B | LAA
Angels' Christian Moore: Out of Monday's lineup
Moore is not in the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Dodgers.
Moore is just 3-for-20 at the plate since returning from a thumb injury, and this will be the second time over the last three contests that he's began the game on the bench. Luis Rengifo will handle second base and bat seventh for the Angels.

Scott Kingery 2B | LAA
Angels' Scott Kingery: Jettisoned from 40-man roster
The Angels designated Kingery for assignment Monday.
The move makes room on the Angels' 40-man roster for Shaun Anderson, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Salt Lake. Kingery has spent most of the 2025 season in Triple-A, where he has a .256/.317/.424 slash line with one steal, three triples, five home runs and 21 RBI in 189 plate appearances.

Jonathan India 2B | KC
Royals' Jonathan India: Absent from Monday's lineup
India is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.
India will get his first day off since July 30 after slashing just .182/.308/.303 through the Royals' first nine games of August. With India on the bench, Adam Frazier will start at second base and Randal Grichuk will serve as the Royals' designated hitter.

David Hamilton SS | BOS
Red Sox's David Hamilton: Moves back to Triple-A
The Red Sox optioned Hamilton to Triple-A Worcester on Monday.
After being called up from Triple-A on July 25, Hamilton appeared in just eight games for Boston and was deployed mainly as a pinch runner or defensive replacement late in contests. Hamilton should get the chance to play regularly upon returning to Worcester.

Luis Garcia 2B | WAS
Nationals' Luis Garcia: Returns to lineup Monday
Garcia (back) will start at second base and bat eighth in Monday's game versus the Royals.
Garcia missed each of the last three contests with back tightness. However, he's feeling well enough to give it a go in Monday's series opener.

Bryson Stott 2B | PHI
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Getting night off versus lefty
Stott is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.
The left-handed-hitting Stott remained in the lineup and went 2-for-4 with a pair of stolen bases and a run scored in Sunday's 4-2 win while the Rangers sent lefty Patrick Corbin to the hill, but Stott will retreat to the bench Monday as the Phillies oppose a second consecutive lefty starter (Andrew Abbott). Edmundo Sosa will cover second base in place of Stott and will bat eighth.

Brendan Donovan 2B | STL
Cardinals' Brendan Donovan: Out of lineup again Monday
Donovan (groin) remains out of the lineup for Monday's contest against the Rockies.
Donovan will miss a third straight start as he battles left groin tightness. He is considered day-to-day. Thomas Saggese will fill in at second base and bat seventh in Donovan's stead.
