Dalbec started at third base and went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and an RBI in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Angels.

Dalbec filled in for a resting Rafael Devers against lefty Reid Detmers and delivered Alex Verdugo from first base with a sixth-inning double. It was encouraging that the hit came against a righty (reliever Jimmy Herget), which has been the source of many of Dalbec's failings and resulted in him being on the short side of a platoon at first base. He's picked it up at the plate recently, posting a .286/.359/.514 slash line with two home runs and seven RBI over the last 12 contests, but that's come mostly in favorable matchups.

Walker went 2-for-5 with a double and two-run home run in Wednesday's 7-0 win over the Reds.

Walker's two-run shot in the fourth inning gave Arizona a lead it would not relinquish. It was the 15th homer in 56 games for Walker, who hit a combined 17 over 172 games the two previous seasons. A nettlesome .184 BABIP is suppressing his batting average (.202), but Walker ranks eighth in isolated power at .273.

Cronenworth went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, a walk, three total runs and five total RBI in Wednesday's 13-2 rout of the Mets.

Cronenworth was part of a big fourth inning for the Padres, knocking in a pair of runs with a double. He came through again in the following frame, swatting a three-run homer to right field to give San Diego a commanding 11-0 lead. This was Cronenworth's second three-hit performance of the campaign, and the five RBI marked a single-game season high. He has been swinging a hot bat of late, slashing .391/.481/.870 with three homers, seven runs and a whopping 14 RBI over his past six games.

Flores is starting at third base and batting third Wednesday against the Rockies.

The 30-year-old was originally absent from Wednesday's starting nine but will join the lineup with Brandon Crawford (quadriceps) being a late scratch. Flores is 8-for-23 with two home runs and six RBI through six games in June.

Padlo was designated for assignment by the Giants on Wednesday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

The 25-year-old was sent to Triple-A Sacramento in late May and has now lost his spot on the 40-man roster. Padlo appeared in only four games for the Giants and went 2-for-12 with four strikeouts.

Flores is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

The 30-year-old started the past nine games at first base and will take a seat after posting a .901 OPS with three home runs during that stretch. Darin Ruf, who was activated off the bereavement list Tuesday, will enter the lineup in place of Flores.

Alonso (hand) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's lineup against the Padres, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Alonso had X-rays on his right hand come back negative after being hit by a pitch Tuesday, and he'll be forced to miss his first game of the season Wednesday. According to Dicomo, the 27-year-old is only dealing with some swelling in his right hand and is considered day-to-day. The Mets have a scheduled day off Thursday, so assuming it's not a serious injury, Alonso will have an extra day to rest up ahead of Friday's series opener against the Angels.

Vaughn isn't starting Wednesday against the Dodgers.

Vaughn went 7-for-17 with two doubles, two runs, an RBI, a walk and four strikeouts over the last four games and will get a rare day off Wednesday. AJ Pollock will start in left field while Jake Burger serves as the designated hitter.

White (hip), who last played in a rehab game for Triple-A Tacoma on May 31, has been sidelined due to an aggravation in his hip/groin area, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

White was riding a six-game on-base streak at the time of his apparent injury, and there's currently no timetable for him to return to action. The 26-year-old has undergone surgeries for both a left hip flexor strain and a sports hernia during the last 12 months, so his current issue is completely unsurprising but still concerning.

Calhoun isn't starting Wednesday against the Guardians.

Calhoun was out of the lineup during Tuesday's nightcap, and he'll get a breather for a second consecutive game. Steele Walker, Eli White and Adolis Garcia are starting in the outfield from left to right.
