Taylor went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Red Sox. Taylor didn't start this contest, but he pinch ran for presumptive National League MVP Pete Crow-Armstrong in the first inning and proceeded to come across twice for the Cubs. The 32-year-old outfielder fit in well with Chicago, posting a .351/.390/.500 slash line across 74 at-bats in 30 games with the team since coming over at the trade deadline. Taylor gives the Cubs a reliable veteran presence on the bench heading into the postseason, and his defensive prowess could get him off the pine frequently late in close contests.

Taylor will start in right field and bat eighth in Wednesday's game versus the Brewers. It's the third straight start for Taylor but the first start against a right-hander since Aug. 9, with this one coming against the flamethrowing Jacob Misiorowski. Taylor has slashed a robust .413/.462/.565 in 19 contests since joining the Cubs, so manager Craig Counsell is playing the hot hand.

Taylor went 1-for-2 with a double, a run scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 9-4 loss to the Brewers. Taylor followed up a three-RBI night with another two RBI in Tuesday's contest as the outfielder stayed hot at the plate. He's now batting .413 in 19 games with the Cubs, giving his new team a much -needed boost beyond his strong defense. Taylor is particularly good against lefties, as he's sporting a .942 OPS in those matchups this year, but he's been solid against righties too, which has given his fantasy value a boost.

Taylor went 4-for-6 with a home run, an additional run scored and three total RBI in Monday's 17-3 win over the Brewers. Taylor may have been a bit overshadowed by Alex Bregman, who recorded his second three-homer game of the month, but he still posted a great line in the easy win. The veteran outfielder has been outstanding for the Cubs since coming over at the trade deadline, as he now has a .409/.460/.545 slash line across 18 games with his new team. Taylor even batted cleanup Monday against Milwaukee lefty starter Kyle Harrison, so he appears to be earning a prominent role in Chicago.

Taylor will start in left field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Mets. Acquired from the Mets on Aug. 3, Taylor reported to the Cubs a day later and has been included in the lineup for five of the team's ensuing eight games. Only two of those five starts have come against right-handed pitching, but Taylor at least looks like he'll be a regular presence in the lineup versus lefties.
