  • Seahawks' Montorie Foster: One of five WRs to make team for Seahawks

Foster is among the five wide receivers that made Seattle's initial 53-man roster, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Foster earned his roster spot with a strong training camp that carried over into a productive preseason, which included a touchdown catch in Seattle's first preseason game. The 25-year-old wide receiver finished the previous season on Seattle's practice squad but has yet to appear in a regular-season game. Foster will likely be limited to a depth role barring injuries to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, Cooper Kupp or Tory Horton (undisclosed), the last of whom isn't believed to have a long-term injury.

  • Seahawks' Montorie Foster: Shines in preseason opener

Foster caught five of seven targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 17-7 preseason loss to the Cowboys, building on what has been a strong performance in training camp, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Foster had a five-yard touchdown catch and almost added a 68-yard touchdown to his stat line Saturday, but Drew Lock overthrew to an open Foster down the sideline in a game during which the Seahawks rested most of their starters. Foster's strong preseason debut could help him in his quest to secure a depth role in a Seattle wide receiver room that also includes Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, Cooper Kupp, Tory Horton, Jake Bobo and Emmanuel Henderson. The 25-year-old Foster will look to keep building momentum in Seattle's second preseason game against the Titans on Aug. 23.

  • Seahawks' Montorie Foster: Staying with champs

Foster signed a reserve/future contract with the Seahawks on Thursday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

The wide receiver signed to the Seahawks' practice squad in late December but never appeared in a game. Now, he'll try to make it to the team's offseason program and compete for a roster spot.

  • Montorie Foster: Signs with SEA practice squad

The Seahawks signed Foster to the practice squad Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Foster worked out with the Seahawks back in early November, but he was not signed to the practice squad at that time. With the recent injury to Cody White (groin), the Seahawks may require a spare wide receiver as they head into their playoff run.

  • Montorie Foster: Works out for Seattle

Foster (hamstring) worked out for the Seahawks on Tuesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Foster inked a deal with Seattle back in April after he wasn't selected in the 2025 Draft. However, Foster was injured early in training camp and was cut with an injury designation. Now healthy, Foster is looking for a new opportunity.

  • Montorie Foster: Gets waived/injured

Seattle waived Foster (hamstring) with an injury designation Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

In a corresponding transaction, Seattle signed defensive end Seth Coleman on Wednesday. Unless he's claimed by another team during the current waiver period, Foster is in line to revert to the Seahawks' injured reserve list.

  • Seahawks' Montorie Foster: Nursing hamstring injury

Coach Mike Macdonald said Tuesday that Foster has a hamstring injury, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.

Foster's previously undisclosed injury has now been confirmed as a hamstring issue, and it's in doubt whether he'll be available for Thursday's preseason game versus the Raiders. As long as he's still sidelined, John Rhys Plumlee and Tyrone Broden could see increased reps at wide receiver.

  • Seahawks' Montorie Foster: Absent from Saturday's practice

Foster (undisclosed) did not participate in Saturday's training camp practice, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Foster has been active in practice over the past two weeks after being reinstated from the active/non-football injury list July 16. It's unclear if this injury is the same one he was dealing with at the start of camp, but if he's unable to return to practice this week, he would be in jeopardy of missing Seattle's preseason opener against the Raiders on Thursday. Foster caught on with the Seahawks in mid-May as an undrafted free agent, and while a spot on the 53-man roster is a long shot, he is also competing for an opportunity to stick around on the practice squad.

  • Seahawks' Montorie Foster: Activated off NFI list

The Seahawks activated Foster (undisclosed) off the active/non-football injury list Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Foster spent the start of training camp on the NFI list but is now cleared to start practicing again. Now healthy, the 23-year-old will look to earn a spot on Seattle's roster after having signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in May.
