Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Has been taking part in OTAs
Dorlus (hamstring) has been participating in the Falcons' OTAs.
Dorlus hurt his hamstring in Week 17 of last season and missed Atlanta's Week 18 matchup versus New Orleans. He was a key contributor for the team's defense prior to getting hurt, starting nine of the 15 games in which he played and tallying 27 tackles, including 8.5 sacks. Dorlus appears to be fully healthy again and is slated to have a big role for the Falcons again in 2026.

Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Out for Week 18
Dorlus (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Saints, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.
Dorlus didn't practice all week after sustaining a hamstring injury in the Week 17 win over the Rams, so it's no surprise he'll be sidelined Sunday. The second-year pro from Oregon was one of the NFL's top interior pass rushers in 2025, recording 27 total tackles, including 8.5 sacks, across 15 appearances. While Dorlus is out for the Week 18 contest, expect Elijah Garcia to operate as the Falcons' top reserve defensive end.

Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Notches second straight DNP
Dorlus (hamstring) didn't practice Thursday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Dorlus couldn't finish Monday's win over the Rams after suffering an injury early in the second half. He was deemed a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report (Atlanta held a walkthrough) and was labeled with another DNP for Thursday's padded practice. The initial belief was that Dorlus' injury was to his knee, but it's since been discovered that he actually hurt his hamstring, per Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com. Head coach Raheem Morris said Wednesday that the team "dodged a big-time bullet" with Dorlus, according to Raimondi, but the second-year defensive end still isn't expected to play in Atlanta's regular-season finale Sunday against New Orleans, per McElhaney.

Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Done for night
Dorlus (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday night's contest against the Rams, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Dorlus recorded a sack of Matthew Stafford on the Rams' first offensive play of the second half before later suffering a left knee injury during the possession. The defensive lineman had to be helped off the field, and he was putting hardly any pressure on his left leg, per McElhaney. In his absence, Elijah Garcia is a top candidate to see an increased workload on the defensive line versus Los Angeles.

Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Green light to play Week 16
Dorlus (illness/shoulder) is active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Dorlus missed the first two practices of Week 16 prep due to an illness and shoulder injury. He drew the questionable tag after logging a limited practice Friday, and he has progressed enough in his recovery to play in Sunday's road tilt. The second-year defensive lineman has accumulated 25 tackles (14 solo), including 7.0 sacks, through 13 regular-season games.

Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Does not practice Thursday
Dorlus (illness/shoulder) did not participate in practice Thursday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Dorlus accounted for two tackles, including 1.0 sacks, in the Falcons' Week 15 win, but he has not practiced in back-to-back days to open the week. The 24-year-old is in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Cardinals if he is unable to practice in any form Friday. Ruke Orhorhoro (groin), who was limited in practice Thursday, is listed as the next man up behind Dorlus. Should neither player be available, Kentavius Street could see an increased role against Arizona.

Dorlus recorded two total tackles (one solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Thursday's 29-28 win over the Buccaneers.
The second-year pro from Oregon returned from a one-game absence Thursday and made his impact felt, taking down Baker Mayfield in the third quarter. Dorlus has appeared in 13 games for the Falcons this season, recording 25 total tackles, including 7.0 sacks. He's expected to remain one of Atlanta's top pass rushers in the Week 16 matchup against the Cardinals.

Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Cleared for TNF
Dorlus (groin) is active for Thursday's game against Tampa Bay, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Dorlus was sidelined by a groin injury in Week 14, but he logged limited practices ahead of Thursday's game against Tampa Bay. That will be enough for him to suit up, and he should serve as one of Atlanta's top pass rushers.

Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Listed as questionable
Dorlus (groin) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Buccaneers, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Dorlus logged a trio of limited practices from Monday to Wednesday, so it looks as though he'll have a fair chance to take the field versus Tampa Bay on Thursday. He wasn't able to suit up Week 14 against the Seahawks due to his groin injury. If Dorlus is unable to play Thursday, however, Elijah Garcia will stand to handle an expanded depth role on defense.

Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Estimated as limited again Tuesday
Dorlus (groin) was deemed a limited participant in Tuesday's practice walkthrough.
Dorlus was also estimated as limited for Monday's walkthrough. He didn't play Sunday against the Seahawks due to a groin issue, and with a quick turnaround ahead of Thursday's battle against the Bucs, he's in danger of missing a second straight game. However, Dorlus' status for that contest should become more clear with Wednesday's practice report.
