Lions' Roger McCreary: Inks deal with Detroit
McCreary and the Lions agreed to terms on a one-year contract Friday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
McCreary opened the 2025 season with the Titans before being traded to the Rams in late October. He missed four games while on injured reserve due to a hip injury and finished the regular season with 37 tackles (23 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and two pass defenses (one interception) across 14 games. McCreary operated mostly in a rotational role in the secondary for the Rams and figures to reprise that same role with the Lions while also contributing on special teams.

Rams' Roger McCreary: Activated Monday
McCreary (hip) was activated from the injured reserve list Monday, Nate Atkins of The Athletic reports.
The fourth-year pro from Auburn has missed the Rams' last four games due to a hip injury, but following a full practice Friday, he's set to return for Monday night's matchup against the Falcons. Since being dealt from the Titans to the Rams in late October, McCreary has appeared in four games and played just one defensive snap. Now fully healthy, he's expected to operate as one of the Rams' top slot corners in the Week 17 matchup.

Rams' Roger McCreary: Logs full practice Friday
McCreary (hip) was a full participant at practice Friday.
McCreary has spent the last four games on the Rams' injured reserve list because of a hip injury he suffered in Week 12 versus the Buccaneers, but his activity at practice suggests he's nearing a return to game action. He'll still need to be officially activated from IR before that's technically possible, though.

Rams' Roger McCreary: Designated to return
The Rams designated McCreary (hip) to return from injured reserve Wednesday.
McCreary managed to practice for the first time Wednesday since sustaining a hip injury during the Week 12 win over the Buccaneers. The Rams will now have 21 days to officially activate the 25-year-old, and he should resume his role as a special teamer and reserve defender once fully healthy.
