Jaguars' CJ Williams: Won't play against New England
Williams (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Williams will be a healthy scratch for a second consecutive week, and the rookie sixth-rounder's next chance to play is Week 4 against the Bengals on Sunday, Oct. 4. The Jaguars will go with five active wide receivers in Parker Washington, Brian Thomas, Jakobi Meyers, Josh Cameron and Travis Hunter.

Jaguars' CJ Williams: Healthy scratch for Week 2
Williams (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Williams did not record any offensive stats over his 10 snaps in the Jaguars' Week 1 win over the Browns. The wide receiver and reserve returner will now take a back seat as head coach Liam Coen finds other ways to fill Williams' minimal snaps.

Jaguars' CJ Williams: No output in box score versus Browns
Williams didn't record any offensive stats during Sunday's 34-10 win over the Browns.
Williams had a quiet outing during his regular-season debut, failing to record any targets across 10 offensive snaps. The rookie sixth-round pick also played six snaps on special teams and will likely continue to see limited usage going forward.

Jaguars' C.J. Williams: Five touches in Friday's preseason loss
Williams caught all four of his targets for 22 yards and gained two rushing yards on his lone carry during Friday's 34-17 preseason loss to the Panthers.
Four of Williams' five touches came in the first quarter with Nick Mullens under center, as the Jaguars rested their likely Week 1 starters on offense. Williams is battling fellow sixth-round rookie Josh Cameron for a spot on the gameday roster, but neither should be expected to see a significant role unless injuries to Parker Washington (undisclosed) and Jakobi Meyers (hand) linger into the regular season.

Jaguars' C.J. Williams: Makes two catches to open preseason
Williams hauled in two of five targets for 28 yards during Saturday's 24-20 preseason win at New Orleans.
The Jaguars selected two wide receivers in the sixth round of the 2026 Draft, with Josh Cameron going 191st overall and Williams at 203rd overall. Both of them played the first half in the team's exhibition opener, but Williams outproduced Cameron's 1-17-0 on three targets. All of Brian Thomas, Parker Washington, Jakobi Meyers and CB/WR Travis Hunter are locked into the top spots at the position on the depth chart, so Williams and Cameron likely are jostling along with Tim Jones and Austin Trammell for one of the final jobs on the roster.
