Seahawks' Jadarian Price: In line for Week 1 role
Price didn't play in the preseason, but he's still expected to have a large workload once the regular season kicks off, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
The Seahawks used the 32nd overall pick in the 2026 Draft on Price, seemingly with the intention for him to be in the mix for the No. 1 RB role during Zach Charbonnet's recovery from a January ACL tear. Price handled first-team reps during the offseason program and also at the start of training camp, but he then tended to lower-body soreness, which sidelined him for a week and spurred the team to keep him in street clothes during exhibition season. With a Week 1 matchup with the Patriots just around the corner Wednesday, Price seems primed for lead-runner status, while George Holani will serve as a receiver and in pass-blocking situations. Meanwhile, Emanuel Wilson has been contained to work on the side at recent practices due to a hamstring injury, so it's unclear if he'll be able to contribute in the season opener.

Seahawks' Jadarian Price: Will not play Friday
Price will not play in Friday's preseason finale against the Chiefs, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Price has practiced for over a week since recovering from a lower-body injury, so Friday's absence will not be injury-related. However, it is notable that the rookie will not make his first appearance in an NFL uniform until Week 1. It remains to be seen what Seattle's depth chart will look like heading into the regular season, but with Zach Charbonnet (knee) unavailable Price figures to fill a key role out of the gate in a Seattle backfield that also includes George Holani and Emanuel Wilson (hamstring).

Seahawks' Jadarian Price: Will not play Sunday
Price will not play in Sunday's preseason game against the Titans, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Not only will Price not play Sunday, he will also be held out of the Seahawks' preseason finale against the Chiefs this Friday. That means the first time that the rookie first-rounder can see in-game action will be Week 1 against the Patriots on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Price saw limited action in Friday's joint practice with the Titans, and head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters after that practice that Price is "ramping" up his workload over the final weeks of training camp and into the regular season. With Zach Charbonnet (knee) on the active/PUP list and Price sidelined, George Holani figures to serve as the Seahawks' lead back Sunday, with Velus Jones, Jacardia Wright and Anthony Hankerson also in the mix for snaps.

Seahawks' Jadarian Price: Full practice Monday
Price (lower body) participated fully in Monday's practice, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Condotta did note that the practice was a non-contact session, but Price worked fully and saw reps with the first-team offense Monday, per Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune, which puts the running back in a position to be available for Sunday's preseason game against the Titans. The Seahawks rested their key healthy skill players in this past Saturday's exhibition opener against the Cowboys. With Zach Charbonnet (knee) trending toward missing time out of the gate this season, Price is primed for a key role in a Seattle backfield that also includes George Holani and Emanuel Wilson (hamstring). The team's unofficial depth chart currently lists Holani ahead of Price (listed second) and Wilson (third), but even if Holani sees his share of touches come Week 1, Price -- the No. 32 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft -- remains the upside play in fantasy terms, given that he also figures to earn a decent portion of the workload once the team's regular-season slate opens Wednesday, Sept. 9 versus the Patriots.

Since Price initially missed practice Aug. 8 due to lower-body soreness, the extent of his activity has been work in walkthroughs, and he ended up sitting out Saturday's preseason game versus the Cowboys. It's unclear how much the rookie first-round pick will be able to handle Monday, but his presence generally is a good sign that he's progressing well in his recovery. Fellow RB Zach Charbonnet remains on the active/PUP list due to the ACL tear that he suffered in January and is likely to move to the reserve version of that list to kick off the regular season, and Emanuel Wilson sat out Saturday's contest due to a hamstring issue. As a result, George Holani has been handling most of the first-team backfield reps of late, with Velus Jones, Jacardia Wright and newcomer Anthony Hankerson the other healthy options at the position.
