Texans' Kyonte Hamilton: Going to IR
Houston placed Hamilton (ankle) on its injured reserve list Friday.
Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, Hamilton's recent surgery to repair a broken ankle was successful, and he'll need around four months to recover. Due to the timing of his placement on IR, it's unlikely he'll get a chance to play again until 2026.

Texans' Kyonte Hamilton: Undergoing surgery
Hamilton is set to undergo surgery on his injured leg Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hamilton was carted off the field during Wednesday's practice session after sustaining what is reportedly a serious injury. The rookie seventh-round pick is set to be sidelined for the next four months and is expected to be placed on injured reserve in the near future.

Texans' Kyonte Hamilton: Depth DT to Houston
The Texans selected Hamilton in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 224th overall.
Hamilton made 30 starts over his final three seasons at Rutgers and generated 88 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss and 6.0 sacks in that span. The 22-year-old has room for development and will need to prove himself during the offseason program and training camp in order to make the 53-man roster.
