Chiefs' Josh Simmons: Involved at minicamp
Simmons was seen participating in the Chiefs' minicamp Friday, Jesse Newell of The Athletic reports.
The 2025 first-round pick missed multiple games during his rookie season due to personal issues and then suffered a season-ending wrist injury in Week 13 against the Cowboys. Simmons is now back on the field for minicamp and appears ready to protect Patrick Mahomes in the 2026 season.

Chiefs' Josh Simmons: Officially placed on IR
Simmons (wrist) was placed on the injured reserve list Wednesday.
As expected, Simmons was placed on IR after sustaining a dislocated and fractured wrist in Kansas City's Thanksgiving Day loss to the Cowboys. He'll now be forced to miss at least the team's next four games, and Wanya Morris will likely step in and start at left tackle.

Chiefs' Josh Simmons: Undergoes surgery, IR coming soon
Simmons underwent surgery on his wrist and will be placed on the injured reserve list, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
The 2025 first-round pick from Ohio State suffered a dislocated and fractured wrist in the Chiefs' Week 13 loss to the Cowboys. Simmons will be forced to miss Kansas City's next four games after his move to IR becomes official, making the Week 18 matchup against the Raiders his earliest possible return date. While he's sidelined for the foreseeable future, Wanya Morris is expected to start at left tackle.

Chiefs' Josh Simmons: Out indefinitely with wrist injury
Simmons suffered a dislocated and fractured wrist during the Chiefs' 31-28 loss to the Cowboys and is out indefinitely, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The Chiefs were already without starting right guard Trey Smith (ankle) for Thursday's game, and Kansas City lost two more starting offensive linemen in Simmons and Jawaan Taylor (elbow) during the game. Simmons will undergo an MRI on Friday and seek opinions on treatment options, but the rookie first-rounder is in jeopardy of being sidelined for the rest of the 2025 season. Wanya Morris and Jaylon Moore are the top candidates to start at left tackle during Simmons' extended absence.

Chiefs' Josh Simmons: Ruled out with wrist injury
Simmons (wrist) has been ruled out for the rest of Thursday's game against the Cowboys.
Simmons appeared to sustain the injury late in the third quarter, which is severe enough for him to not return to Thursday's game. With Jawaan Taylor (elbow) also done for the day, the Chiefs are working with backup offensive tackles in Wanya Morris and Jaylon Moore.

Simmons (personal) was a full participant at practice Wednesday.
Simmons missed the Chiefs' last three games before their Week 10 bye as he was dealing with a family matter, but now it seems like he may be on track to suit up in Week 11. As of now, signs point toward him filling back in at left tackle come Sunday at Denver, but his status will be worth keeping an eye on as the week progresses.
