Draft Scouting Report
Chase Roberts is a big-bodied, reliable target who served as a productive leader for the BYU offense. He is a contested-catch specialist who uses his frame and high-point ability to win on back-shoulder throws and deep curls. While he may not consistently run past defenders with burst, he has strong long speed and a physical running style that makes him difficult to bring down in the open field.
- 2025: Ranked top 10 in Big 12 in receiving yards (802, seventh) and receiving TD (6, tied for 10th)
- 2024-25: Team captain
- Outstanding contested-catch ability and high-point skills on jump balls.
- Powerful runner in space who consistently breaks through arm tackles.
- Versatile threat capable of winning outside or from the slot.
- Below-average top-end athleticism limits his ability to stack defensive backs vertically.
- Inconsistent hands at times, evidenced by eight drops in 2025.
- Needs to improve technical consistency as a blocker despite his frame.
- 40-yard dash: 4.64 seconds
- Vertical jump: 37 inches
- Broad jump: 10 feet, 6 inches

Raiders' Chase Roberts: Joins Las Vegas as UDFA
Roberts signed as an undrafted free agent with the Raiders on Thursday.
Roberts played four seasons for BYU and averaged 53 catches for 828 yards and five touchdowns over his final two campaigns. He has good height at 6-foot-4 but lacks vertical speed. Las Vegas has one of the league's least-established WR corps, so Roberts could compete for a roster spot as a depth wideout if he impresses in training camp.
