Lions' Kye Robichaux: Reverts to injured reserve
Robichaux (foot) reverted to the Lions' injured reserve Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Robichaux is believed to have fractured his foot during the Lions' 16-14 preseason loss to the Bengals on Thursday. He was waived with an injury designation by Detroit on Sunday and cleared waivers, meaning he'll be forced to miss the entire 2026 season on IR unless an injury settlement is reached with the Lions. A settlement would allow Robichaux to sign and play with a team once he's fully healthy.

Kye Robichaux: Waived/injured by Detroit
The Lions waived/injured Robichaux (foot) on Sunday.
The running back's dismissal is a good indication that he fractured his foot in Thursday night's preseason opener against the Bengals. Robichaux will now be placed on waivers and if he remains unclaimed he will revert to the Lions' injured reserve. Once on injured reserve, Robichaux will miss the entirety of the 2026 regular season unless he is waived with an injury settlement. The Lions signed running back Trayveon Williams in a corresponding move.

Lions' Kye Robichaux: Potential broken foot
Robichaux (foot) may have a broken bone in his foot, Ben Raven of MLive.com reports.
Robichaux suffered the injury during Thursday night's preseason opener against the Bengals. If the running back did suffer a broken bone, he would likely miss a significant period of time and could be a candidate for season-ending injured reserve. With Robichaux not having much hope to make the 53-man roster, a broken bone should all but seal his fate.

Lions' Kye Robichaux: Gets eight carries in preseason opener
Robichaux participated in Thursday night's preseason opener against the Bengals, rushing eight times for 31 yards.
Robichaux's night peaked with a 13-yard rush. The 23-year-old tied Jacob Saylors for the most Lions rush attempts in the game as the duo continues to compete for the No. 4 spot on the depth chart behind Jahmyr Gibbs, Isiah Pacheco (knee) and Sione Vaki (nose).

Kye Robichaux: Waived with injury designation
The Lions waived Robichaux (undisclosed) with an injury designation Monday.
Assuming Robichaux clears waivers, he'll revert to the Lions' injured-reserve list and miss the 2025 season unless he's later cut with an injury settlement. Robichaux signed with Detroit as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College back in April.
