49ers' Nick Martin: Cleared from concussion
San Francisco GM John Lynch said Sunday that Martin has been cleared from the concussion that ended his 2026 season, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Martin was placed on IR with a concussion Dec. 20, and he was sidelined for the remainder of the season. The 2025 third-round pick tallied 11 tackles and one forced fumble across seven games as a rookie. Martin will likely once again see the majority of his playing time come on special teams while providing depth at inside linebacker.

49ers' Nick Martin: Won't play vs. Titans
Martin (concussion) is out for Sunday's game versus Tennessee, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Martin sustained a concussion in Week 13 at Cleveland prior to San Francisco's Week 14 bye, and now he'll be sidelined for Week 15 as he continues to recover. His absence could mean more reps at linebacker for veteran Luke Gifford.

49ers' Nick Martin: Being evaluated for concussion
Martin has exited Sunday's game against the Browns and is being evaluated for a possible concussion, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Martin will be analyzed by one of the league's independent neurologists to determine if he can return to the game. Before the linebacker's early exit, he logged one solo tackle.

49ers' Nick Martin: Enters concussion protocol
Martin has entered the league's concussion protocol and has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Browns, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The 49ers are on a bye in Week 14, so Martin will have additional time to progress through and clear the league's concussion protocol before San Francisco's Week 15 clash against Tennessee on Sunday, Dec. 14. The rookie third-rounder has contributed mostly on special teams, but his absence further depletes a 49ers linebacker corps that is without Tatum Bethune (ankle) and Fred Warner (ankle - IR).
