Suamataia (concussion) is active for Sunday's game against the Colts, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Suamataia entered the league's concussion protocol during the Chiefs' Week 11 loss to the Broncos. He's been cleared of the protocol by an independent neurologist and will reclaim his starting job at left guard from Mike Caliendo.

Suamataia (concussion) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Suamataia is handling practice reps for the first time as he progresses through the concussion protocol. He'll need to gain full clearance, including from an independent neurologist, in order to be eligible to return to the starting lineup. If Suamataia can upgrade to full reps Friday, it will bode well for his chances of being cleared for Sunday's game against the Colts.

The second-year pro from BYU sustained a concussion in the Week 11 loss to the Broncos, so it's no surprise that he won't practice Wednesday. Suamataia must clear the NFL's five-step protocol in order to play in the Week 12 matchup against the Colts on Sunday.
